11、d manually operated and motor driven hoists since 2002 in EN 818-7. Because the member countries in the CEN/TC 168/WG 1 Welded round steel link chains and chain slings could not reach an agreement upon the tolerance for the pitch (1 pn) and the gauge length (11 pn) while working on EN 818-7, only to
12、lerance ranges are included in the European Standard. However, since the publication of DIN 5684-3 (1954-05) tolerances have always been available for both the pitch and the gauge length. Therefore they are also specified in this standard. The corresponding bases for calculation are defined in Annex
13、 A. In cases where individual nominal sizes, by adding the corresponding tolerances, reach greater values than those which are specified for the tolerance range of the corresponding nominal sizes in EN 818-7, this is due to deviations resulting from the defined rounding rules. Because the same toler
14、ance formula is the basis of both calculation methods, the hoist chains according to this standard conform to EN 818-7. With regard to the nominal pitch of fine tolerance Grade T hoist chains, a wide range of chain types are available in Europe due to the design specifications of hoist manufacturers
15、. Therefore, at European level, it was only logical to specify in EN 818-7 selected dimensions for the nominal pitch which were based upon corresponding ISO standards. Considering the market conditions in Germany, DIN 5684-3 still contains values for the nominal pitch commonly used in Germany, which
16、 are not part of the selected dimensions in EN 818-7. DIN 5684-3:2013-03 5 1 Scope The standard defines customary market dimensions for Grade T fine tolerance hoist chains (Types T, DAT and DT), which are in compliance with the requirements defined in DIN EN 818-7. 2 Normative references The followi

A.2.4 External width The external width is w2= 3,4 dn. The calculated values are rounded up to 0,1 mm. A.2.5 Gauge length

The tolerance, in percent, is also based on the formula .33,065,1+nThus, for a gauge length of (n = 11) there is a resulting tolerance of 0,48 % of the nominal gauge length l. This is divided into +0,32 % (+2/3) and 0,16 % (1/3) . The calculated values are rounded up to 0,1 mm.
