21、eets shall be flat, free from voids, cracks, slag inclusion and lamination.NOTE: Sheets originating from different manufacturers may have a different appearance.Page 5DIN 59610 : 2004-027 Testing7.1 Thickness measurement7.1.1 InstrumentGiven the softness of the material, care should be taken when ta
22、king thickness measurements on lead sheet.In order to prevent indentation of the material, a micrometer with ratchet and contact faces of 6 mm diametershall be used.7.1.2 ProcedureFive measurements shall be taken at intervals of 100 mm along the length of sheets and three measurementsacross sheets,
23、on flat undamaged areas, not less than 20 mm from edges or the ends of coils.7.2 Analysis7.2.1 SamplingThe sample size for analyses shall be representative of the consignment and the samples so prepared as to suitthe particular analytical method.7.2.2 ProcedureThe method of analysis shall be at the
24、suppliers discretion, except for cases of dispute, where the method shallbe subject to agreement.8 Declaration of conformityUpon request of the purchaser, the supplier shall submit a declaration of conformity in which compliance of theconsignment with the requirements is confirmed. The form of decla
25、ration shall be subject to agreement.9 Marking, labelling and packaging9.1 Marking/labellingUnless otherwise agreed at the time of ordering, each coil or pack of sheets shall, as a minimum, be providedwith a label or imprint giving the following details:a) name or mark of manufacturer;b) number of t
26、his standard (DIN 59610);c) material grade;d) nominal sizes (length, width and thickness);e) mass, in kg.Any information regarding handling and storage shall be clearly marked on the packaging.9.2 PackagingThe type of packaging shall be subject to agreement and compatible with standard conditions of
27、 shipment. Thepackaging shall not impair the product quality.10 Transport, storage and handlingThe products shall be shipped and stored under conditions such as to protect them against moisture andcondensation, and they shall be handled so as to prevent their quality being impaired.Products shall be
28、 stored under a cover and placed on wedges so as to provide adequate space for ventilation.Storage and handling of products shall be so as to prevent permanent deformations.NOTE: Moisture, and condensation in particular, can give rise to staining of products. The prolonged influenceof moisture may f
29、urther adversely affect their appearance (white staining). For removal of such stains, thesupplier should be consulted.11 Safety data sheetA data sheet in accordance with ISO 11014-1 issued by the supplier and dealing with the risk involved inhandling and using lead products shall accompany the first consignment.
