This comprises requirements for the technical nature and operation of beverage dispensing

14、 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document the terms and definitions in DIN 6650-1 and the following apply. 3.1 free-standing water dispenser water cooler device for the dispensing of water for human consumption NOTE “Water cooler” is a sector-specific term. 3.2 water container disposa
15、ble or returnable container made from food-compatible material NOTE Food-compatible materials can be, for example, plastic, stainless steel or glass. 17、onal and leak tight, see DIN 6650-3; b) contamination by soiling and, in particular, the growth of microorganisms is prevented, see DIN 6650-4 and DIN EN 1672-2. The ability to be cleaned and disinfected shall be validated by a corresponding test method. 5 Requirements relating to materials The mate
18、rials used for free-standing water coolers shall correspond to the requirements specified in DIN 6650-2. All materials and parts coming into contact with dispensed water shall not be adversely affected by the use of cleaning agents and disinfectants. 6 Design 6.1 All materials and components shall b
19、e suitable for the use of dispensed water and shall safely withstand the mechanical stresses while remaining leak tight (see DIN 6650-2). 6.2 The outlet tube shall be designed so that a retrograde microbiological contamination of the water cooler starting from the outlet (dispense valve) and the acc
20、umulation of stagnant uncooled water in the outlet valve is to be largely avoided. The design should be such that direct contact by the operator with the outlet tube, e.g. with the fingers, cups, glasses, etc., is prevented. 6.3 Drip pans shall be easy to remove and clean and disinfect. 6.4 All perm
21、anently installed parts that need to be cleaned and disinfected shall be easily accessible. 7 Instructions for use Instructions for use shall be enclosed with every water cooler upon delivery and shall contain at least the following information: a) system description; b) requirements for the choice
22、of location; c) intended use, e.g. hygienic exchange of the water container; d) information concerning potential hygiene problems when operating the water system; e) information concerning the cleaning and disinfection method to be used, as well as care and maintenance of the system. DIN 6650-9:2010
23、-02 6 8 Marking 8.1 Every water cooler that conforms to the requirements of this part of the standards series shall have a permanent type plate in a clearly visible location. The plate shall bear the data specified in DIN 6650-1. 8.2 Every water container shall bear the legally required markings in
24、accordance with the LMKennzV (German Ordinance on the Labelling of Food) and the LoskennzV (German Lot Labelling Ordinance). DIN 6650-9:2010-02 7 Annex A (normative) Operation of free-standing water coolers A.1 General This annex contains requirements for the proper handling of water coolers which w
25、ill ensure compliance with hygiene requirements in particular. The information provided by the manufacturer or supplier in the instructions for use in respect to the choice of location, hygienic exchange of the water container, cleaning, disinfection and care of the system shall be complied with. A.2 Installation and operation A.2.1 Location of the fr
27、ee-standing water cooler For safe operation of the free-standing water cooler, the information of the manufacturer or supplier concerning the location of the water system shall be strictly observed, e.g. systems shall not be installed in areas where there is a risk of contamination to the water from
28、 the environment, nor shall they be installed in the open air or in direct sunlight or in dusty, unventilated or damp environments. The free-standing water cooler shall not be installed at a location that makes cleaning, disinfection and maintenance difficult. A.2.2 Changing the water container To e
29、nsure a hygienically fault-free exchange of the water containers, the data of the manufacturer or supplier shall be observed, for example as regards how the removal and attachment of the containers is to be carried out. A.3 Cleaning and disinfection To ensure fault-free cleaning and disinfection, th
30、e information of the manufacturer or supplier shall be observed. The cleaning and disinfection intervals for water coolers are between 90 days and 180 days in accordance with DIN 6650-6. The recommendations of the manufacturers or suppliers shall also be observed, in particular as regards parts requ
31、iring shorter cleaning and disinfection intervals, e.g. in the dispensing area. The cleaning and disinfection shall ensure that the dispensed water is free of pathogens. This requirement is not met if a 250 ml sample contains Escherichia coli, coliform bacteria, faecal streptococci or Pseudomonas ae
32、ruginosa, or if a 50 ml sample contains any sulphite-resistant, spore-forming anaerobes (see also DIN 6650-6).
