、ts The following amendments have been made in comparison with the December 1969 edition: see Explanatory notes. Explanatory notes Whilst applying the standards for compression couplings, a variety of difficulties were encountered with respect to the assembly of the couplings. This applied particular

W hi Ist preparing the standards, Work i ng Group Kugelbuchsverschraubungen of Tech n cal Committee ohrwerschraubungen decided to withdraw the December 1969 edition of each of the following standards: DIN 7632 Part 2; DIN 7634; DIN 7635; DIN 7636; DIN 7641; D
、IN 7642 Part 2; DIN 7647 Part 2. They were then withdrawn in 1984. On the one hand it was felt that there was no demand for these standards and on the other, that the application of these standards no longer conformed to the present state of technology. The series symbol LL has been dropped as these
、 compression couplings could not be allocated to a particular series on the basis of pressure. In the case of banjo bolts, there is now a choice between two and three holes for external pipe diameters of 4 and 5 mm, and between three and four holes for diameters of 6 mm and above. Dimension d27 has
、been amended. Banjo bolts for pipes with external diameters of 4 and 5 mm have been given the same dimensions and the same symbol for the designation. It was not considered necessary to compile standards for every external pipe diameter and felt that the 3 mm external pipe diameter could be dispensed with. The status of the standard is no longer that of a preliminary standard; the title of the standard has been amended. International Patent Classification F 16 L 19/02
