Gewindeeinstze aus Draht fr Metrisches ISO-Gewinde - Teil 1 : Mae, Technische Lieferbedingungen In keeping with current practice in stand
2、ards published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a comma has been used throughout as the decimal marker. Foreword This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee Gewindeeinsatze of the Normenausschuss Mechanische Verbindungselemente (Fasteners Standards Committee).
3、Amendments This standard differs from the October 1988 edition in that it has been editorially revised and the specifica- tions for d, and the number of turns for sizes M14 and M16 have been harmonized with international standards. Previous edition DIN 81 40-1 : 1988-1 O. All dimensions are in mm. 1
4、 Scope This standard specifies dimensions and technical delivery conditionsfor wire thread inserts (thread inserts, for short) which serve to produce high-strength, wear-resistant internal screw threads in metallic and non- metallic components. They are also used to repair damaged threads and to rep
5、lace threads worn in service. Thread inserts reduce the susceptibility of bolted connections to cold welding. They are resistant to the effects of high and low temperatures and to corrosion and ensure a constant coefficient of friction. 2 Normative references This standard incorporates, by dated or
6、undated reference, provisions from other publications. These normative references are cited at the appropriate places in the text, and the titles of the publications are listed below. For dated references, subsequent amendments to or revisions of any of these publications apply to this standard only
7、 when incorporated in it by amendment or revision. For undated references, the latest edition of the publication referred to applies. Continued on pages 2 to 13. Translation by DIN-Sprachendienst. 42、s Thread inserts as specified in this standard are designed for use at temperatures in the range from -40 “C to +300 “C. 7 User information 7.1 Core hole Core hole diameters (d2) are given in tables 2,3,4 and 5. The core holes should not be countersunk, since tapped holes without countersink facilit

For the manufacture and gauging of tapped holes, special screwing taps and plug gauges shall be used. 7.3 Internal thread The internal thread provided by the thread insert shall have class 6H tolerances. Special tools are required for introducing the thread in

49、e.g. British Standard BS 4377), standards issued by the Normenstelle Luftfahrt (Aerospace Standards Com- mittee), and works standards of a number of German manufacturers, the aim being to harmonize the specifi- cations for tapped holes, the associated tolerances, and the product specifications for thread inserts. Users of this standard should note the following. a) Tolerance class 6H as specified here is the tolerance class for the thread insert after assembly. However, in DIN 8140-2, the tolerance class for the pitch diameter of the tapped hole has been denoted as 6
