8、wing the publication of DIN EN ISO 13385-1:2011-12 and DIN EN ISO 13385-2:2013-06, DIN 862:1988-12 has been fully revised as these are concept standards that only define requirements for the most important design and metrological characteristics. Maximum permissible errors of measurement are no long
9、er included in these concept standards, although German industry had argued against the deletion of these values. To ensure German industry continues to have access to these metrological values, this new edition of DIN 862 has been published, which only contains the maximum permissible errors. The m
10、aximum permissible errors specified in the present standard had been laid down in DIN 862:1988-12 prior to the publication of DIN EN ISO 14253-1:2013-12. With these values, proof of conformity with specifications as required in DIN EN ISO 14253-1:2013-12, 5.2, is normally not possible using the avai
11、lable test methods. For this reason, the method of proving conformity with the specification laid down in ISO/TR 14253-6:2012-11 has been specified here. DIN 862:2015-03 5 1 Scope This standard applies to callipers as specified in DIN EN ISO 13385-1 with analogue indication and a maximum measuring r
12、ange of 0 mm up to 2 000 mm and a (vernier) scale interval of 0,1 mm, 0,05 mm or 0,02 mm. It also applies to callipers with a digital display and a measuring span up to 1 000 mm with a digital step of 0,01 mm. This standard also applies to calliper depth gauges as specified in DIN EN ISO 13385-2 hav
13、ing a measuring range of 0 mm up to 600 mm, or a measuring range of over 600 mm up to 1 000 mm, with analogue or digital indication. It specifies the maximum permissible errors. 2 Normative references The following documents, in whole or in part, are normatively referenced in this document and are i

NOTE The maximum per

The MPEEvalues apply where there is no change of direction of measurement. For measurements where there is a change of direction of measureme
