The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Stan
6、dards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-09-43 AA of Section Oberflchentechnik. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Direct
7、ive 2006/42/EC, which took effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the O
8、fficial Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this document. When provisions of this type C standard are different from
35、 those which are stated in type B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. DIN EN 12215:2010-06 EN 12215:2004+A1:2009 (E) 6 1 Scope This document is applicable to spray booths as well as multizone spray booths for the application of organic liquid coating materials (paints, varnishes), and deals with all significant haza
37、rds relevant to spray booths or multizone spray booths, when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see clause 4). A spray booth is an assembly of the following linked components: forced ventilation by one or more fans; dry air filtering and/or wet air washi
38、ng systems, measuring and control devices, ventilation air heating system, automatic fire extinguishing equipment, warning devices, electrical apparatus, joined together within or at a partially or totally enclosed structure (limited by walls, called space) for the controlled processing of spray app
39、lication of organic liquid coating material. NOTE 1 Spray booths are classified in annex G. This standard describes methods of verification of safety measures, information labels to be affixed to the spray booth and minimum usage requirements contained within the operators handbook.
