DIN EN 14502-2:2005-11 may be used in parallel until 28 December 2009. National foreword This standard includes safety requirements. This standard has been prepared
4、 by CEN/TC 147 “Cranes Safety” (Secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Section Frdertechnik. Amendment of the EU Machinery Directive has made it necessary to update
5、the previous edition, EN 14502-2:2005, to take into account the essential requirements of the new EU Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December
6、 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to cranes that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of t
7、he directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards

The reference version EN 14502-2:2005+A1:2008 contains two errors that are corrected here: Clause 2 “Normative references”: the incorrect reference “EN 12077-2:1999” has been re

This European S
25、tandard is a type C standard as specified in EN ISO 12100-1. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this European Standard. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in
26、 type B standard, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. DIN EN 14502-2:2009-05 EN 14502-2:2005+A1:2008 (E) 5 1 Scope This European Standard
27、 specifies additional requirements for the design of elevating control stations on cranes. General requirements for control stations on cranes are specified in EN 13557. This European Standard also specifies requirements for the driving mechanism, the supporting and suspension system and for safety
28、devices for the elevating control station. This European Standard does not cover hazards which could occur during transport, erection, commissioning, modification, maintenance, de-commissioning or disposal. This European Standard does not apply to control stations which will move with a load or a lo
29、ad lifting attachment. This European Standard does not apply to lifts for crane drivers. This European Standard does not deal with noise hazards because noise due to the movement of the elevating control station is negligible compared to the noise due to the normal operation of the crane. NOTE Noise
30、 hazards are dealt within the appropriate European Standard for specific crane types. The significant hazards covered by this European Standard are identified in Clause 4. This European Standard is not applicable to elevating control stations which are manufactured before the date of publication by
