National foreword This document (EN 14791:2017) has been prepared by Working Committee CEN/TC 264/WG 16 “Reference measurement methods for NOx, SO2, O2, CO and water vapour emissions” (Secretariat and Convenership: AFNOR, France) of Technical Committee 264 “Air quality” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany

8、N 14791:2006-04 as follows: a) in Clause 1, Directive 2000/76/EC has been replaced by Directive 2010/75/EU; b) in Clause 2, the normative reference to EN 15259 regarding requirements for measurement sections and sites and for the measurement objective and plan has been included; c) in Clause 3, defi

9、nitions have been reviewed taking into account EN 15259 definitions and the new version of VIM (2012); the detection limit has been deleted from the list of definitions and performance characteristics as repeatability at zero is more suitable; d) in 6.2.6 and 8.6, it has been specified that the abso

10、rption efficiency of the first absorber is to be better than 95 % or the concentration of sulfate ion in the second absorber shall be less than the quantification limit (instead of the detection limit); e) in 8.2, a reference to EN 15259 has been included for determining homogeneity of the flue gas

11、profile; f) in 11.4, the equation of srhas been refined; g) in Clause 12, the standard deviation sr,limithas been recalculated according to new rules specified in EN 14793; h) in Annex A, an estimate of the uncertainty calculated on the basis of reproducibility has been added and replaces the expres

12、sion “reproducibility confidence interval”; i) in Annex C, the presentation of the calculation of the uncertainty budget has been improved; DIN EN 14791:2017-05 3 j) in Annex E, the presentation of the equivalence of the chromatography method with the Thorin method has been improved to be in line wi

DIN EN 14791:2017-05EN 14791:2017 (E) 6 1 Scope This Europe

40、an Standard specifies the standard reference method (SRM) for the determination of the sulphuric oxide SO2in flue gases emitted to the atmosphere from ducts and stacks. It is based on a sampling system and two analytical principles: ion chromatography and the Thorin method. This European Standard sp

41、ecifies the performance characteristics to be determined and the performance criteria to be fulfilled by measuring systems based on the measurement method. It applies to periodic monitoring and to the calibration or control of automatic measuring systems (AMS) permanently installed on a stack, for r

42、egulatory or other purposes. This European Standard specifies criteria for demonstration of equivalence of an alternative method to the SRM by application of EN 14793:2017. This European Standard has been validated during field tests on waste incineration, co-incineration and large combustion instal

43、lations. It has been validated for sampling periods of 30 min in the range of 0,5 mg/m3to 2 000 mg/m3of SO2for an ion-chromatography variant and 5 mg/m3to 2 000 mg/m3of SO2for the Thorin method according to emission limit values laid down in the Directive 2010/75/EU. NOTE 1 Emission limit values for

44、 SO2laid down in the Directive 2010/75/EU are in the range of 30 mg/m3to 800 mg/m3. The emission limit values of EU Directives are expressed in units of mg/m3of SO2on dry basis and at standard conditions of 273 K and 101,3 kPa. NOTE 2 The characteristics of installations, the conditions during field
