8、cludes the new edition of DIN EN 1866:2006-03 as the new Part 2 of the DIN EN 1866 standards series and includes further require-ments for the pressure resistance and mechanical tests for extinguishers with a maximum allowable pressure equal to or lower than 30 bar, which comply with the requirement
9、s of DIN EN 1866-1. This standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and supports essential requirements of the New Approach Directive 97/23/EC (Pressure Equipment Directive). Once the standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Communities under
10、that directive and has been implemented as a national standard in at least one Member State, compliance with the clauses of this standard given in Table ZA.1 confers, within the limits of the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformity with the corresponding essential requirements of that di
11、rective and associated EFTA regulations. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. DIN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 1866:2006-03 as
12、 follows: a) the standard has been divided into three parts; b) the Foreword has been revised and references to the Pressure Equipment Directive, Directive 97/23/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 May 1997 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States concerning pressure
13、equipment have been deleted; c) requirements for pressure-containing parts in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive (Directive 97/23/EC) have been deleted and are now included in DIN EN 1866-2, Annex ZA “Relationship between this European Standard and the essential requirements of EU Dire
14、ctive 97/23/EC”; d) some terms and definitions, as well as some symbols and abbreviations have been modified; e) specifications regarding characteristics and fire performance have been revised and are included in DIN EN 1866-1; f) requirements for mobile CO2extinguishers have been included; g) requi

36、 fire extinguishers with metallic bodies, which comply with the requirements of EN 1866-1, as far as pressure resistance is concerned. This part applies to mobile fire extinguishers of which the maximum allowable pressure PS is lower than or equal to 30 bar and containing non-explosive, non-flammabl
