National foreword This document (EN 331:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 236 “Non-industrial manually operated shut-off valves and particular combinations valves-other products
8、” (Secretariat: UNI, Italy). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was DIN-Normenausschuss Gastechnik (DIN Standards Committee Gas Technology), Working Committee NA 032-02-06 AA Gasarmaturen. This European standard specifies characteristics for the construction, performance and saf
9、ety of ball valves and closed bottom taper plug valves of nominal sizes DN 100. It applies to metallic valves not directly buried for domestic and commercial installations inside or outside of buildings. It also details the test methods and marking provisions. Amendments This standard differs from D
10、IN EN 331:2011-08 as follows: a) the range of pressure classes has been extended; b) temperature class -40 C has been deleted, since there are no certified elastomers (gasket materials) for this class; c) the range of nominal sizes has been extended to include DN 65, DN 80 and DN 100; d) the surveil
11、lance of the FPC (Factory Production Control) shall now be undertaken every two years (formerly once per year); e) a new Annex A “Resistance to high temperatures for valves classes B and C” has been added; f) Annex ZA (informative) has been updated. It also details the test methods and marking provisions

It applies to metallic valves not directly buried for domestic and commercial installations inside or outside of buildings, using gases of the first, second and third family (specified in EN 437) and working up to 0,2 105Pa, 0,5 105Pa, 1 105Pa, 5 105Pa and 20 105Pa and with temperature limits from
