This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, and which apply to machines tha
8、t are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of that directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus,
9、a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in Clause 2 and in the Bibliography of the EN have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with th

40、 EN 848-2:2007+A2:2012 (E) 5 Introduction This document has been prepared to be a harmonised standard to provide one means of conforming to the essential safety requirements of the Machinery Directive and associated EFTA Regulations. This document is a type C standard as stated in #EN ISO 12100:2010
41、$. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this document. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take
42、 precedence over the provisions of other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. The requirements of this document are directed to manufacturers and their authorised representatives of single spindle hand fed/integrated fed routi
43、ng machines. It is also useful for designers. This document also includes examples of information which are to be provided by the manufacturer to the user. 44、2 (E) 6 1 Scope This document !specifies all significant“ hazards, hazardous situations and events as listed in Clause 4 which are relevant to stationary and displaceable single spindle hand fed/integrated fed routing machines with fixed head but allowing only movement along the axis of the tool dur
45、ing machining hereinafter referred to as “machines“ designed to cut solid wood, chip board, fibreboard, plywood and also these materials if they are covered with plastic laminate, edgings or veneer when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer #including reason
46、ably foreseeable misuse$. #For the definition of stationary and displaceable machine see 3.2.17 and 3.2.18. Machines which are designed to work wood based materials may also be used for working hardened plastic materials with similar physical characteristics as wood.$ This document does not apply to
47、: a) inverted pin routers and radial arm routers (machines where the work piece is fixed and the tool head is manually moved); b) NC boring machines and NC routing machines; #NC boring machines and NC routing machines are dealt with in EN 848-3:2007+A1:2009.$ c) hand-held routers or any adaptation p
