National foreword This standard specifies the procedure for calculating the energy efficiency index of standalone circulators designed for use in heating systems or cooling distribution systems. Verification of the energy
6、 efficiency index is necessary to meet the requirements of Commission Regulation (EC) No 641/2009. This document (EN 16297-2:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 197 “Pumps” (Secretariat: AFNOR, France). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss
7、 Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-11-01 AA Kreiselpumpen of Section Kreiselpumpen. Representatives of manufacturers and users of glandless circulators, and of the employers liability insurance associations contributed to this standard. This standard
8、 contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC in conjunction with Directive 2009/125/EC and Commission Regulation (EC) No 641/2009, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commission
9、ed within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of these directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume co
10、mpliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in Clause 2 and in the Bibliography of the EN have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. For the International Standards whic

35、. 5 Performance requirements and safety requirements The requirements of EN 16297-1, EN 809 and EN 60335-2-51 apply. 6 Calculation of energy efficiency index (EEI) 6.1 General conditions Standalone circulators with pump housing shall be measured as a complete unit.
