11、 1980-03, 1989-05 DIN EN ISO 1461: 1999-03 DIN EN ISO 1461 Supplement 1: 1999-03 National Annex NA (informative) Technical rules on hot dip galvanized articles The standard DIN EN ISO 1461 “Hot dip galvanized coatings on fabricated iron and steel articles Specifications and test methods” specifies g

12、eneral properties of and test methods for coatings applied by hot dipping fabricated articles. In terms of German building regulations, DASt-Richtlinie 022 “Feuerverzinken von tragenden Stahlbauteilen” (Hot dip galvanized coatings on structural steel components) published by the Deutscher Ausschuss

13、fr Stahlbau (German Committee for Steel Construction) applies. This Richtlinie specifies additional requirements for pre-treatment, the hot dip galvanizing method, testing and acceptance which are not included in DIN EN ISO 1461. Further important information relating to hot dip galvanizing is inclu

14、ded in DIN EN ISO 14713-1 “Guidelines and recommendations for the protection against corrosion of iron and steel in structures Zinc coatings Part 1: General principles of design and corrosion resistance” and DIN EN ISO 14713-2 “Guidelines and recommendations for the protection against corrosion of i

15、ron and steel in structures Zinc coatings Part 2: Hot dip galvanizing”. In addition to the above-mentioned technical rules, there are also several relevant standards on specific products. For instance, DIN EN ISO 10684 “Fasteners Hot dip galvanized coatings” deals with galvanized fasteners such as n

16、uts and screws. DIN EN 10240 “Internal and/or external protective coatings for steel tubes Specification for hot dip galvanized coatings applied in automatic plants” specifies properties and requirements for galvanized coatings on tubes produced in automated manufacturing plants. DIN EN ISO 1461:200

17、9-10 4 National Annex NB (informative) Additional information and recommendations Working Group NA 062-01-75 AA “Hot dip coatings” of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) makes the following recommendations for the application of DIN EN ISO 1461: Information regarding the after-treatment

18、of hot dip galvanized steel and designation using symbols It is recommended that symbols and simplified information be used to designate coatings, e.g. on technical drawings and parts lists. Recommendations for use in Germany are given below: The symbol for a hot-dipped galvanized coating is “t Zn”,

19、 where “t” stands for “thermisch” (thermally) and “Zn” for “Feuerverzinken” (hot dip galvanized). A coating as in this standard is therefore designated in Germany as follows: “berzug DIN EN ISO 1461 t Zn o” here the symbol “t Zn o” stands for “hot dip galvanized, not specified” (as regards after-tre

20、atment). Other designations are “berzug DIN EN ISO 1461 t Zn b” (for “hot dip galvanized with over-coating”) and “berzug DIN EN ISO 1461 t Zn k” (for “hot dip galvanized without after-treatment ”). Galvanized parts should be indicated in drawings as shown in Figure NB.1: Figure NB.1 Example of a sym

21、bol for specifying a hot dip galvanized part Galvanized coatings are not normally after-treated. If not otherwise agreed (symbol “t Zn o”), the galvanizing plant may decide whether or not to carry out after-treatment and may select the method used. If galvanized steel parts are to be provided with a

22、 second coating (duplex systems), the galvanizing plant shall be instructed that no measures shall be taken that would have an adverse effect on adhesion and coating properties. 46、les (including certain castings) in a zinc melt (containing not more than 2 % of other metals). It does not apply to the following: a) sheet, wire and woven or welded mesh products that are continuously hot dip galvanized; b) tube and pipe that are hot dip galvanized in automatic plants; c) hot dip

47、galvanized products (e.g. fasteners) for which specific standards exist and which might include additional requirements or requirements which are different from those of this International Standard. NOTE Individual product standards can incorporate this International Standard for the coating by quot

48、ing its number, or can incorporate it with modifications specific to the product. Different requirements can also be made for galvanized coatings on products intended to meet specific regulatory requirements.
