7、hambers and their operation, DIN EN ISO 16000-10, which specifies requirements for the emission test cells and their operation, and DIN ISO 16000-6, which deals with the determination of VOCs. 9、f planning indoor air measurements for particular substances or groups of substances are dealt with in the various parts of Guideline VDI 4300 (see National Annex NA). In some cases, these VDI guidelines served as the sole basis for drawing up certain parts of ISO 16000 (for instance, ISO 16000-1, I
10、SO 16000-2 and ISO 16000-5). The determination (sampling, analysis) of these substances or substance groups in indoor air is dealt with in the VDI 4301 series. Methods which are suitable for both indoor air and ambient air measurements are described in other VDI Guidelines. Thus the following nation
11、al technical rules for indoor air measurements are available: the DIN ISO 16000 series and the DIN EN ISO 16000 series: ISO standards which have been adopted as national standards, and the VDI 4300 series: Guidelines which have been drawn up at the national level. 38、bliography16 EN ISO 16000-11:2006 (E) 4 Introduction The determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from building products using emission test chambers in conjunction with the standardised sampling, storage of samples and preparation of test specimens has objectives such as: to provi
39、de manufacturers, builders, and end users with emission data useful for the evaluation of the impact of building products on the indoor air quality; to promote the development of improved products. The method can in principle be used for most building products used indoors. EN ISO 16000-11:2006 (E)
40、5 1 Scope Studies of the emission of volatile organic compounds from unused building products or furnishing in test chambers or cells require proper handling of the product prior to testing, and during the testing period. This part of ISO 16000 defines three types of building products or furnishing:
41、 solid, liquid and combined. For each type, specifications are given for the sampling procedures, transport conditions, storage, and substrate used that can affect emissions of volatile organic compounds. For individual products, the preparation of a test specimen for each type is prescribed. NOTE D
