15、s, gasoline components (such as BTEX, MTBE, and ETBE), naphthalene, 2-ethyl-4-methyl-1,3-dioxolane, and highly odorous substances like geosmin and 2-methylisoborneol; c) the principle of the method has not been changed, but it now includes the option to extend the extraction time of medium volatile
16、substances since this can lead to an increase in the detection sensitivity of these substances, e.g. geosmin; d) the method is now also applicable to the matrix “treated waste water”; e) Clause 4 “Interferences” has been rendered more precise; reference to International Standards on sampling has bee
17、n included, the description of possible interferences when using autosamplers that agitate the sample vials with a circular motion during the extraction process has been improved. f) the performance data of the newly included substances were determined in an international interlaboratory trial carri

Some are used as gasoline additives, solvents, hydraulic fluids, and dry-cleaning agents. This group of compounds belongs to the group o
46、f anthropogenic chemicals.
