3、uss Sport- und Freizeitgert(Sports Equipment Standards Committee).The scope of this standard explicitly excludes single-chambered boats, a fact which the responsible Germancommittee interprets as a statement that such boats are not safe. This opinion is, however, not shared byother CEN members, and
4、Germany fears that single-chambered boats could subsequently enter the marketwithout being covered by a standard.In Germany and elsewhere, current safety regulations require that inflatable boats retain a residual buoyancyafter a chamber has failed, following the principle of redundancy for essentia
5、l functions.
