6、ted without any modification. The International Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 100 “Chains and chain sprockets for power transmission and conveyors”. The responsible German body involved in its preparation and which made the decision to have it translated into German and in
7、cluded in the body of German Standards, with the withdrawal of all relevant national standards, was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-34-35 AA Stahlgelenkketten of Section Antriebstechnik. The Commitee has thus documented the fact
8、 that this standard is consistent with the ISO Standard. The German version of the first edition of DIN ISO 487 is a translation of the third edition of ISO 487 dated 15.07.1998, closing the gap in the collection of German Standards which had resulted from the withdrawal in 2003 of DIN 8189-1, DIN 8
9、189-2 and DIN 8199 on roller chains for agricultural machinery. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights.
