For the purposes of publication in Germany, International Standard ISO 7000:2004-01-15 “Graphical symbols for u
6、se on equipment Index and synopsis” was prepared on the basis of the following criteria: ISO 7000 exists as a database and is continually updated. The present document contains not only the symbols included in the paper version of ISO 7000:2004-01-15 (up to no. 2633), but also the most recent symbol
7、s added to the database (up to no. 2750). The new symbols have been incorporated into the alphabetical index. The symbol titles were translated into German on the basis of DIN Fachbericht 4 Graphische Symbole zur Anwendung an Einrichtungen Bildzeichen bersicht (now withdrawn), and then updated and h
8、armoni-zed with international specifications where necessary. The document itself contains the English and German symbol titles. Comprehensive alphabetical indices in English and in German have been added to make it easier to find symbols with several titles. To ensure wide acceptance within the Ger
9、man-speaking region, the German version of this standard was presented for voting to the joint German, Austrian and Swiss body “Graphische Symbole und Sicherheits-zeichen”. 13、e figure used to transmit information independently of language. It may be produced by drawing, printing or other means. A great majority of the graphical symbols in ISO 7000 were developed in accordance with the basic principles of ISO 3461-1 using arrows in accordance with ISO 4196. ISO 3461-1 and
14、 ISO 4196 have been superseded by IEC 80416-1 and ISO 80416-2 respectively. New graphical symbols for inclusion in ISO 7000 shall follow the design principles of IEC 80416-1 and use the arrows of ISO 80416-2. This International Standard presents graphical symbols, for use on equipment in different t
15、echnical fields, in the synopsis given in Clause 2. The meaning of each graphical symbol may depend upon its orientation in a given reference system and care should be taken to avoid ambiguity (e.g. by rotating or mirroring). Each graphical symbol may be used in any field of application, provided it
16、s meaning is clearly understood. 1 Scope This International Standard provides a synopsis of those graphical symbols which are placed on equipment or parts of equipment of any kind in order to instruct the person(s) using the equipment as to its operation. 2 Synopsis See pages 6 to 115.
