3、E) The General Service Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers phenolic type disinfectant-detergent. The disinfectant-detergent described herein is intended for use as a general purpos
4、e cleaner and disinfectant for hard surfaces such as walls, floors, woodwork and metal furniture in hospitals and public buildings. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 2.1 Disinfectant. The phenolic type disinfectant-detergent, when used as directed on the label in a use-dilution solution, prepared with har
5、d water containing a minimum of 400 parts per million (ppm) hardness (as calcium carbonate) and 5% (v/v) sterile bovine serum albumin (BSA), shall be: Bactericidal against Staphylococcus aurcus (American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) No. 6538) Salmonella choleraesuis (ATCC No. 10708) Pseudomoas aer

The use-dilution solution, prep
8、ared with hard water containing a minimum of 400 ppm hardness (as calcium carbonate) and 5% (v/v) BSA, shall have a cleaning efficiency comparison index (cleaning efficiency of the use-dilution divided by the cleaning efficiency of a 0.25 percent by weight solution of the standard detergent) of not
9、less than 0.7, when tested as specified in FED-STD-536, Test Method 6701, Cleaning Efficiency. 2.3 Effect on conductive flooring. When conductive flooring conforming to the requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 99 is washed with the use-dilution solution, prepared with hard wat
10、er containing a minimum of 400 ppm hardness (as calcium carbonate) and 5% (v/v) BSA, and allowed to dry without rinsing, it shall still meet the conductivity requirements of NFPA 99. 3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The phenolic type disinfectant-detergent shall be registered and labeled in compliance wi
11、th the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), as amended in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulation (CFR), 40 CFR Parts 162-280. This act, and regulations promulgated thereunder, is administered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The containers shall be labele
12、d, with contents and directions for use, in accordance with 40 CFR 156-157. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. 4.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, an
13、d quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 4.2 Market acceptability. The item offered must have been sold to the Government or commercial market. 4.3 EPA registration. The o
