1、A-A-197 November 6, 1980 : COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION HERBICIDE, 2,4-DICHLOROPHENOXYACETIC ACID (SALTS AND ESTERC) The General Cervices Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in lieu of Federal Specification 0-H-200. This commercial item description covers the sys
2、temic herbicide, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid. The herbicide sha;L1 be of the following types; and classes: Type II - Liquid salt formulation Type III - Liquid ester formulation Class 1 - Volatile alkyl esters of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid Class 2 - Low Volatile esters of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyac
3、etic acid Salient characteristics: Liquid salts. The liquid salts of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid shao contain a minimum of two pounds of 2,4-D acid equivalent per gallon of formulation at 68OF (2OOC). The product shall be soluble in hard or soft water and shall exhibit no persistent foam. The pro
4、duct shall make a solution that contains no ingredients which will inhibit the application of the material at the concentrations normally used for weed control. The product shall remain free of solid material when held at a temperature of 25OF (-3.8OC) for a period of 5 days. Liquid esters. The liqu
5、id esters of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid shall contain a minimum of two pounds of 2,4-D acid equivalent per gallon of formulation at 68OF (2OOC). emulsifiable with water. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first Packaging, packing and marking. The packaging and packing shall be in accordance with normal commercial pract
11、ice and shall assure acceptance by common carrier and provide product protection against loss and damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. The shipping containers shall be in compliance with the National Motor Freight Classification and Uniform Freight Classification, Marking sha-ll
