T
3、his description covers two-power and four-power magnifying-lens pocket stereoscopes. Salient characteristics: Desipn. The stereoscopes shall consist of two lenses mounted in a frame - supported by folding legs. Classification. The stereoscopes shall be of the specified: following types, as Type I -
4、2 power. Type II - 4 power. Frame. The frame shall be of aluminum, zin or m gnesium alloy. Frame material shall be suitably treated to ensure free functioning of all parts for the normal life of the stereoscope. stereoscope shall extend above the frame except for the upper edge of the lens barrels.

12、2.1 diameters. The lenses shall be held in place by spring clamp rings or threaded cells. Type II. four-power. The lenses shall be two-element achromatic or three- element apochromatic, at the contractors option. Each lens shall cover a flat surface of not less than 50 mm in diameter and shall resol
13、ve not less than 20 lines per mm at the center of the field of view and not less than 12 lines per mm at the edge. Each lens shall provide a magnification of between 3.8 and 4.2 diameters. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified
