T

3、his description covers two-power and four-power magnifying-lens pocket stereoscopes. Salient characteristics: Desipn. The stereoscopes shall consist of two lenses mounted in a frame - supported by folding legs. Classification. The stereoscopes shall be of the specified: following types, as Type I -

4、2 power. Type II - 4 power. Frame. The frame shall be of aluminum, zin or m gnesium alloy. Frame material shall be suitably treated to ensure free functioning of all parts for the normal life of the stereoscope. stereoscope shall extend above the frame except for the upper edge of the lens barrels.

5、When folded, the overall dimensions of the assembled stereoscope shall be not more than 5.75 inches long by 3 inches wide by 1 inch thick. No part of the O Interpupillary adiustment. Each lens shall provide a magnification of between 1.9 and

12、2.1 diameters. The lenses shall be held in place by spring clamp rings or threaded cells. Type II. four-power. The lenses shall be two-element achromatic or three- element apochromatic, at the contractors option. Each lens shall cover a flat surface of not less than 50 mm in diameter and shall resol

13、ve not less than 20 lines per mm at the center of the field of view and not less than 12 lines per mm at the edge. Each lens shall provide a magnification of between 3.8 and 4.2 diameters. The lenses shall be mounted by spring clamp rings or threaded cells. used, the cells shall be threaded to provi

16、anufacturers current product offered by the contractor in the commercial marketplace for at least one year preceding the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions o

Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound u

18、nits, provided they fall within specified tolerances using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of FED-STD-376, and all other requirements of this Commercial Item Description are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified

19、 in the inch-pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. Regulatory - reauirements. In accordance with section 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations,

20、the Governments policy is to acquire items composed of the highest percentage of recovered materials practicable, consistent with maintaining a satisfactory level of competition without adversely affecting performance requirements or exposing the contractors employees to undue hazards from the recov
