Abstract. This commercial item descr
2、iption covers an insect net made of nylon tricot netting of one type and size, for use in tropical and semi-tropical areas. Salient Characteristics. The insect net shall be made of one piece of netting with a center back seam and elastic braid inserted in the top and bottom hems. Two loops made of e
3、lastic braid shall extend from the bottom hem (attached from inside of hem). The loops shall be spaced 6 inches apart and centered at front of insect net. The thread for all stitching shall be polyester. Material. The material for the insect net shall be nylon tricot weighing a minimum of 0.3 ounces
4、 per square yard and a maximum of 0.7 ounces per square yard. The color of the material shall be Dark Green 323. The fabric shall be resin treated. Product Demonstration Model. When required, offerers shall submit samples of their intended production. The Product De
13、monstration Model will consist of units independently developed. Product Demonstration Models will be analyzed and evaluated by the government. Evaluation criteria and basis for award are contained in the solicitation. Product Demonstration Models will be retained by the government. One (1) Product
14、Demonstration Model approved by DPSC under the resultant contract will serve as a manufacturing standard for the corresponding production items delivered under this contract. Offerers are advised that the Product Demonstration Model does not relieve the successful offerer of his responsibility to pe
15、rform in accordance with the Commercial Item Description specified above. Qualitv Assurance Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and that the product conforms to the producer.s own drawings, specifications, standar
16、ds and quality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for, under the provisions of the contract. Reliance on contractor QA systems shall not relieve the contractor of the resp
17、onsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Examination. Insect net lots shall be inspected in accordance with “Sampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes“, ANSI/ASQC 21.4, published by
18、 the American Society for Quality Control. Visual Examination. The insect nets shall be examined for the defects listed below. The lot size shall be expressed in units of insect nets. The sample unit is one insect net. The inspection level shall be II and the acceptable quality level (AQL), expresse
19、d in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 1.0. Defects. The insect net shall be examined for the following defects: any cut, tear or hole not specified; any cut or abraided area; any incorrect seam or stitch type; any loose or excessive tension; incorrect number of stitches per inch; ends no
20、t secured as specified; thread breaks, skipped or run-off stitches; loose or missing button tacks; any loose or missing elastic braid loops; not clean; label missing, incorrect, or illegible; measurement of item not as specified. Any dimension that is not within the established tolerance shall be classified as a defect. The sample unit shall be one insect net; the i
22、nspection level shall be S-3 and the AQL, expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 1.5. Packaqinq Examination. The fully packaged shipping containers shall be examined in accordance with defects listed below. The lot size shall be the number of shipping containers in the inspection
23、lot. The inspection level shall be S-2 and AQL, expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 1.0.
