4、 chloride or polyvinyl chloride. The Map Case shall have a dull-matte finish. The vinyl cases shall have a minimum of 1/8 inch heat sealed seams on three sides, the two long sides and one short side. The open end of the case shall be fitted with a clear vinyl zipper with an aluminum slide of appropr
5、iate length, heat-sealed to the case. One part of the zipper shall be heat sealed to the back of the case and the other part heat sealed to the front part of the case. The ends of the zipper shall be heat sealed to prevent the sides from becoming disengaged. Beneficial comments (recommendations, add

Any dimension that is not within the established tolerance (+i inch, -0 inch) shall be classified as a defect. 5.3 End Item
24、Performance Testing. The end items shall be tested for odor, label adhesion, seam strength, crease strength and leakage. 5.3.1 Requirement for Odor . Determination of odor shall be made on samples freely exposed to circulating air at 75 degrees F +/- 5 degrees F (24 degrees C +/- 3 degrees C) for no
25、t less than 24 hours. 5.3.2 Requirement for label adhesion. Each case shall have a label that is directly printed, stamped or stenciled on the case. The contents, size and characters of the inscription, and the format shall be as follows; ITEM DESCRIPTION CONTRACT NUMBER STOCK NUMBER SIZE - minimum

Seam Strength Requirement. Each sp
27、ecimen shall be cut 1 inch by 6 inches with the seam approximately in the middle and parallel to the short sides of the specimen. If the average breaking strength for any sample unit falls to meet the requirements specified, the lot shall be rejected. 5.3.4. Requirement for Leakage. The case shall n

Determination of odor shall be made on samples freely exposed to circulating air at 75 degrees F +/- 5 degrees F (24 degrees C +/- 3 degrees C) for not less than 24 hours. 5.3.6 Ink adhesion label test. The ink adhesion shall
29、 be determined in accordance with ASTM F 1842 except that the test shall be performed on the label of a finished case. The test area of the label shall be visually examined for legibility. 4 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-A-A-55192A
30、5.3.7 Seam strena test. The breaking strength of the heat sealed seams shall be not less than 16 pounds when tested in accordance with Method A of ASTM D 882. Each specimen shall be cut 1 inch by 6 inches from a finished case with the seam approximately in the middle and parallel to the short sides
31、of the specimen. The gage marks need not be applied and the elongation need not be measured. The initial separation between the grips of the apparatus shall be 2 inches and the specimen shall be placed in grips with the seam equidistant between the grips. The strength of the seam reported in pounds
32、to the nearest 0.1 pound shall be the average of 5 determinations per sample unit. 5.3.8 Leakage Test. The case shall be marked 5 inches from the inside of the seam and filled with water to the mark. The temperature of the water shall be 73.5 +/- 2 degrees F. The case shall then be suspended over a
33、dry receptacle for a period of 3 hours. At the end of the 3 hour period, the case shall be examined for seam separation and leakage of the water into the receptacle. 6.0 Packaging. Preservation, Packaging and Marking. Cases of one size only shall be packed in accordance with ASTM D 3951 except that
