Abstract. This document covers a cotton sheeting cloth

2、 bag 7 inches in diameter and 8 inches in depth with a drawstring closure at the top. personal effects, such as wallet, watch, ring and other valuables pending inventory and return to the next of kin of deceased military personnel. The bag is used to store delivery mail and Salient Characteristics.

3、The construction of the bag shall conform to Figure 1 and shall be as specified herein. Materials. O Cloth, Sheetinq, Cotton. The cotton cloth shall be unbleached with a plain weave. The cloth shall be vat dyed, water-repellent and mildew resistant aftertreated, shade Camouflage Green CG-483. The wa

4、ter repellents shall consist of aluminum salts of saturated carboxylic acids (such as formate, acetate, palmitate or stearate), zirconium salts of such saturated carboxylic acids, or a combination of both, mixed with refined mineral and vegetable waxes, titanate esters, or a combination of both. The

5、 product shall be applied either in the form of an aqueous emulsion or in the form of a water free solvent solution. 8、n reaches equilibrium under standard conditions of 70220F and 6522% relative humidity. - 2/ One edge of the long dimension of the specimen shall be raveled until a continuous yarn, the length of the specimen, is obtained. Measure 1-1/2 inches in from this edge and draw a thin line the full length of

9、 the specimen. - 3/ The supplier shall certify that the specific inhibitor was used in the treatment of the cloth. Tape, Textile, Cotton (drawstrinus). The cotton tape shall be 1/4 inch in width, plain weave. The tape shall be water repellent, mildew resistant and dyed shade Olive Drab-7. The water

17、rine bleaching. Grommet, Metallic. The plain grommets with toothed washers shall conform to type II, class 3, size No. O of MIL-G-16491. Label/markinq. The statistics label, 5 inches long by 4 inches wide, shall be nonwoven, spunbonded polyester cloth or nonwoven, 80/20 polyester/cellulose cloth, an

18、d shall be stitched to the bag in the location shown in Figure 1. The impregnation coating shall be a pigmented acrylic or nitrocellulose coating composed of white pigments such as clay, chalk, titanium dioxide, or blane fixe, and affixed by an appropriate acrylic or nitrocellulose resin. The coatin

19、g composition shall not contain leachable skin irritants or toxic materials. Substances that will support mildew growth shall not be included. The Product Demonstration Model will consist of units independently developed. evaluated by the government. Evaluation criteria and basis

24、 for award are contained in the solicitation. Product Demonstration Models will be retained by the government. One (1) Product Demonstration Model approved by DPSC under the resultant contract will serve as a manufacturing standard for the corresponding production items delivered under this contract

Offerers are advised that the Product Demonstration Model does not relieve the successful offerer of his responsibility to perform in accordance with the Commercial Item Description specified above. Bag lots shall be inspected in accordance with “Sampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attribute

29、s“, ANSI/ASQC 21.4, published by the American Society for Quality Control. Visual Examination. The bags shall be examined for the defects listed below. The sample unit is one bag. The inspection level shall be II and the acceptable quality level (AQL), expressed in terms of defects per hundred units

30、, shall be 6.5. The lot size shall be expressed in units of bags. Defects. The bags shall be examined for the following defects: any hole, cut, tear in the cloth, color not as specified; any spot or stain (outside); thread ends not removed; broken or missing yarn, multiple floats clearly visible at

31、normal inspection distance (approximately 3 feet); shade bar; fine or coarse filling bar; edge of tape (drawstrings) frayed or scalloped; grommets broken; malformed grommets; grommets fail to perform intended function; corroded area on grommets; burr or sharp edge which may cause injury in handling

37、specified; any variance not otherwise classified herein but at a variance with the product demonstration model. Dimensional Examination. The finished bag shall conform to the dimensions specified. Any dimension that is not within the established tolerance shall be classified as a defect. The sample

38、unit shall be one bag; the inspection level shall be S-3 and the AQL, expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 6.5. Packauinq Examination. The fully packaged shipping containers shall be examined in accordance with defects listed below. The lot size shall be the number of shipping c

39、ontainers in the inspection lot. The inspection level shall be S-2 and AQL, expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 2.5. Six hundred bags shall be placed in a fiberboard box conforming to RSC-L, grade 275 of PPP-B-636. The box shall be closed in accordance with the appendix o

43、f PPP-B-636. Palletization. Boxes shall be palletized on a 4-way entry pallet in accordance with load type Ia of MIL-STD-147. Each load shall be bonded with primary and secondary straps in accordance with bonding means C and D or film bonding means F or G. Pallet pattern shall be in accordance with
