2、ncies. 1. SCOPE. The tape is intended for use as a name tape for uniforms and field clothing. 2. CLASSIFICATION. Type I - Nylon Type II - Polyester 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. The color of the tape shall be as specified (see 7.3). The weave for both types of tape shall be plain weave 1-up and 1-down
3、. The tape for both types shall be woven on either shuttle or shuttleless looms. When the tape is woven on a shuttleless loom two filling yarns shall be in each shed and held at the edge by a catch cord yarn. The shrinkage of the tape in the warp or lengthwise direction shall be no more than 5.0 per
4、cent when tested in accordance with Table I. The dyed tape shall show fastness to light, perspiration, and laundering (after 3 cycles) equal to or better than a rating of “3-4” when tested as specified in Table I. The dyed tape shall show fastness to crocking or shall have an AATCC Chromatic Transfe
5、rence Scale rating not lower than 3.5. The color and appearance of the cloth shall match the standard sample when viewed using the AATCC Evaluation Procedure 9, Option A, under filtered tungsten lamps that approximate artificial daylight D75 illuminant with a color temperature of 7500 ( 200) K illum
6、ination of 100 ( 20) foot candles, and shall be a good match to the standard sample under horizon lamplight at 2300 ( 200) K. 12、cale 5/ The specimens must be dried after each of the 3 laundering cycles. On the color transfer cloth, the stain on the nylon, cotton, polyester, and wool fibers shall be evaluated. 3.2 Material. 3.2.1 Nylon yarn (Type I). The yarn shall not be subjected to any type of bleaching process. The yarn s
13、hall be a bright, high tenacity, light and heat resistant polyamide. 3.2.2 Polyester yarn (type II). The yarn for the tape shall be semi-dull or bright, regular or high tenacity fiber prepared from polyethylene glycol terephthalate. 3.3 Length and put-up. For government procurements only, unless oth
14、erwise specified (see 7.3) the tape for Type I shall be furnished in rolls of 72 yards + 1 yard. The tape for Type II shall be furnished in rolls of 200 yards + 1 yard. No roll shall contain more than two pieces, and no piece shall be less than 5 yards. Ends of pieces may be butted and fastened with

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in
16、 accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal acquisition Regulation (FAR). 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product Conformance. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and that the product conforms to the producers own dr
17、awings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market place. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter, as may be otherwise provided for, under the pr
18、ovisions of the contract. Reliance on contractor quality assurance systems shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. 6. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing, an
19、d marking shall be as specified in the contract or order. 7.
