SPADELESS The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description (Cio), for all federal agencies. 1
2、 SCOPE. This CID covers drivetype. spadeless fence posts intended for use in providing framework and support for erecting military barbed wire entanglements and fencing. referred to herein as posts.“ 2. CIASSIFICATION. The posts shall conform to the following sizes: Sue 1 - 96 inches overall length
3、 Sue 2 - 72 inches overall length. Sue 3 - 60 inches overall length. Size 4 - 32 inches overall length. Sue 5 - 24 inches overall length. 3. SAUENT CHARACTERISTICS 3.1 Desian and construction. The posts shall be designed and consuded in accordance with the manufacturers specifications for fence pos
4、ts. Figures 1 through 3 illustrate how this item was previously manufactured. Any posts procured to this CID shall meet or exceed the performance exhibited by posts manufadured in accordance with figures 1 through 3. 3.2 Matenals. The posts shall be sound and free from defects and shall be construct
5、ed from steel conforming to ASTM A569 or A659. rerolled rail steel, or any other material with equivalent properties. 7、1 25 inch for steels having a yield of 33,000 pounds per square inch (psi) or less. and O. 1 O0 inch for steels having a yield more than 33.000 psi. If the posts are constructed from other matenais, the thickness shall be such that it meets or exceeds the performance of the steel posts. 3.3 Cfeanin
8、o, treatment. and colonnq. 3.3.1 Cleanina and treatment Unless otherwise specified in the contract order (see 7.3). the posts shall be deaned and treated in accordance with the manufacturef s standard cieaning and treatment practices prior to painting. 3.3.2 Colorinq. Unless otherwise specified in t
9、he contract order (see 7.3), the posts shall be colored forest green. ? 3.4 Interchanueabilitv. Emphasis shall be placed on dimensional tolerances. All parts having the same paR number shall be capable of exchange without loss of functional or physical characteristics. 3.5 Identification markinq. Fe
10、nce posts shall be permanently and legibly marked in a location that is readily accessible. The markings shall indude. at a minimum, the Part Identifying Number (PIN), and the manufacturers identification (see 7.1 and 7.3). 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS 4.1 Recovered matenals. The offeror/contractor is
11、 encouraged to use recovered matenais to the maximum extent practicable. in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 5.1 Resmnsibilitv for insoection. The contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspections and tests.
12、5.2 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salent charactericticc of this CID, canform to the producers own drawings, speacations. standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market The Government reserves the right to req
13、uire proof of such conformance- 5.3 Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Desscription, and mat the product conforms to me produceis own drawings, specifications,
14、standards and qualrty assurance pradces, and is ttie same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The government reserves the tight to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and therealter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract 6. PAC
