SCOP
2、E. This commercial item description (CID) covers light reflectors with holders for indoor or outdoor installations. The light reflectors covered by this CID are intended for use in shielding and enhancing the illumination of incandescent drop lights, side lights, wail lights, and platform lights. 2.
3、 CLASSIFICATION. The light flectors shall be of the following types and sizes. Type is determined by the reflector shape. Size-is determined by the width of the reflector opening at its widest point (gendy the dimeter). The type and size to be fimished shall be as specified (see 72(b). Type I - Cone

6、 9018054 0003681 T34 A-A-59349 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 3.1 General requirements. The light reflector shall be capable of attachment to an indoor or outdoor light fixture. The reflector shall cover and direct the light beam of the fixhue. Unless otherwise specified (see 7.2(c), the reflector shall
7、 be capable of accommodating and withstanding the heat fiom a 100-watt lamp. When specified (see 7.2(d), the reflector shall be tapped for mounting on OS-inch conduit. Dissimilar metals shall be insulated fiom each other. 3.2 Components. The light reflector shall include, as a minimum, the following
8、 components: 3.2.1 Reflector body. Unless otherwise specified (see 7.2(e), the reflector body shall be made of aluminum. The reflector shall be free of sharp edges. The metal shail be of uniform thickness and of sufficient thickness to produce a rigid construction. Unless otherwise specified (see 7.
9、2(f), the open end of the reflector shall be circular. For type I light reflectors, the angle between the reflector surface and the centerline of the cone shall be 45 or 80 degrees as specified (see 7.2Cg). Unless otherwise specified (see 7.2(h), the outside of the reflector body shall be green. Unl
10、ess otherwise specified (see 7.2(i), the outside surface of the reflector body shall be covered by fused porcelain enamel. When specified (see 7.20), the reflector body shall be vented. 3.2.2 Reflector holder. The light reflector shall be furnished with a holder of a clamp type, a pendant hood, or a
11、n equally adequate means of securing the reflector to the light fixture as specified (see 7.20). If a pendant hood is furnished, it shall contain a mogul- or medium-based lamp receptacle as specified (see 7.2(1). 3.2.3 LamDholder. If required (see 7.2(m), the light reflector shall include a rigid or
12、 shock- absorbing lampholder. The lampholder shall conform to Underwriters Laboratory (UL) 496. 3.2.4 Power cord. If required (see 7.2(n), the light reflector shall iriclude a 6-f00t, 3-conductor, SJ-type electrical cord meeting the requirements of UL 62. 3.2.5 ptional comuonents. Optional component
13、s shall be furnished as specified (see 7.2(0). 3.3 Performance. The inner (reflecting) surface of the reflector shall have a reflection factor of not less than 70 percent, measured in accordance with Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J964. Unless otherwise specified (see 7.2(p), the reflector sh
14、all be capable of rotating around the lamp receptacle to which it is secured. 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENT 4.1 Recovered materials. The offerodcontractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation
15、 (FAR). 5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 5.1 Product conformance. The light reflector shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description; conform to the manuficimers own drawings, specifications, 2 Licensed by Information Handling Services. 16、349 standards, and quality assurance practices; and be the same light reflector offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5.1.1 Verification of conformance. Suitable verication of conformance to SAE-J964, UL-62, and UL-496 shal
17、l be by either the SAE or UL label or certification of such conformance by an accredited testing laboratory satisfactory to the Government. 5.2 Warranty. Unless otherwise specified (see 7.2(q), the manufacturers standard Commercial warranty, terms, and conditions shall apply. 6. PACKAGING. Preservat
