SCOPE. This CID co
2、vers the general requirements for electric heater guns. Typically the guns areused to thaw or dry out equipment or to shrink insulating tubing associated with electrical applications.2. CLASSIFICATION. The heater guns shall conform to the following characteristics:2.1 Type. The heater guns shall mee

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.3.1 Cons
5、truction. The heater guns shall conform to the standards of Underwriters Laboratoryspecification E47277, Electric Heating Applications; and NFPA70, the National Electric Code.3.1.1 Mechanical Properties.3.1.2 Function Switch. The guns shall be provide with a three-position switch. The positions of t
6、he switchshall be in the following sequence: ON FAN HEAT and shall be labeled as such. If the switch is springloaded, provision will be made for locking the switch in the selected position.3.1.3 Power Cord. Each gun shall be furnished with a power cord of not less than six feet. The powercord shall
7、be made in accordance with NFPA-70 and shall have a 3 prong plug.3.1.4 Voltage. The guns shall operate on single phase, alternating current of 120 volts AC at 60 Hertz.3.1.5 Accessories. Each gun shall be provided with a stand that permits the heated air stream to bedirected over a 90-degree arc. Ea
8、ch gun shall be provided with two heat reflectors used for heatshrinkable tubing. The reflectors shall provide for the even distribution of heat over at least 1.5 inches oflength. One reflector will be for tubing up to .75 inch diameter and the second for tubing over .75 inch toat least two-inch dia
9、meter.3.1.6 Heat Regulation. Each gun shall be equipped with a air regulating system that will control thedischarge air temperature within the range for the particular model of gun.3.1.7 Dimensions and Tolerances. The guns shall not exceed 16 inches in length, 6 inches in deep and12 inches in height
10、. The weight of the guns shall not exceed 4 pounds with the stand attached and shallbe suitable for single hand operation.3.1.8 Marking. Each gun shall be marked per the manufacturers standard procedure with themanufacturers name and part and or model number.3.2 Finish. The manufacturers standard co
11、mmercial finish shall be suitable for the heater guns.3.3 Workmanship. The heater guns shall be free from sharp edges, and constructed with the bestcommercial practice available within the heater gun industry.4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS.4.1 Recovered Materials. This offeror/contractor is encouraged t
12、o use recovered materials to themaximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR).5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS.5.1 Product Conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID,conform to the producers own dr
13、awings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices, andbe the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The company producing the item must have been producing a product meeting therequirements of this CID, for at leas
15、t five years.b. The company must have sold 1,000 units meeting this CID, in the commercial marketplace orto the Government, over the past two years.6. PACKAGING.6.1 Preservation, Packing and Marking. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in thecontract or order.7. NOTES.7.1 Part I
16、dentification Number (PIN). The following Part Identification Number procedure is forgovernment purposes and does not constitute a requirement for the contractor.
