SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description (
2、CID) covers the requirements for a kit that replaces the Visual Users Guides found in all the Army Mountaineering Kits (AMK). It will provide a user the instructions necessary to perform the same tasks as Soldiers who are issued the Army Mountaineering Kits (AMKs). 2. CLASSIFICATION. The Army Mounta
3、ineering Kits (AMK) Visual Users Guides (VUG) Replacement Kit will be furnished as one kit. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. Individual item dimensions will be in accordance with drawings and specification requirements specified in the applicable CID document (see Table I) unles

Individual item colors will be in accordance with applicable specifications (see Table I). 3.3 End item testing. Individual item test standards will be in accordance with their relat
8、ed International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation Standards, where applicable. 3.4 Materials. Individual item materials will be in accordance with applicable specifications (See Table I). 3.5 Workmanship. The Army Mountaineering Kits (AMK) Visual Users Guides (VUG) Replacement Kit shall confor
9、m to the quality of product established by this document. The occurrence of defects shall not exceed the contractors own quality assurance standards and the quality assurance standards defined in the technical data in the solicitation and/or contract. 3.6 Service life. The Army Mountaineering Kits (
10、AMK) Visual Users Guides (VUG) Replacement Kit shall have no unexpected material or component failures during a continuous one-year cycle. 11、ive year period. 3.7 Labels/barcoding/instruction slip. If applicable, all labeling, barcoding and instruction slip requirements shall be as specified in the solicitation or contract (see 7.2). 3.7.1 Labels. Each Army Mountaineering Kit shall have identification label Class 5 conforming to Type VI o
12、f MIL-DTL-32075. The color of the label shall be white. The following information shall be included in the printing for the identification label: ARMY MOUNTAINEERING KIT VISUAL USERS GUIDE REPLACEMENT KIT NSN: XXXX-XX-XXX-XXXX (Example) The following instruction information shall be supplied: a. The
13、 name or trademark of the manufacturer, importer or supplier b. The meaning of any marking on the product c. The use of the product d. How to choose other components for use in the system e. How to maintain and service the product f. The lifespan of the product or how to access it g. The effects of
14、chemical reagents and temperature on the product h. The effects of storing and aging i. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offer
15、or/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials sh
16、ould be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient char
17、acteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5.2 End
18、item examination. Each kit shall be examined for the following defects as listed in Table II: TABLE II.
