SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description (CID) covers
2、 the requirements for a kit that replaces a complete set of unserviceable Kernmantle ropes that are issued in the Army Mountaineering Kits (AMKs) specifically the High Angle Mountaineering Kit (HAMK) (A-A-59869) and the Assault Climber Team Kit (ACTK) (A-A-59873). 2. CLASSIFICATION. The Army Mountai
3、neering Kit (AMK) Rope Replacement Kits will be furnished as five kits. 2.1 Types: Type I HAMK Rope Replacement Kit Type II HAMK Rope, Kernmantle, Type I Replacement Kit Type III HAMK Rope, Kernmantle, Type IV Replacement Kit Type IV ACTK Rope Replacement Kit Type V ACTK Rope, Kernmantle, Type III R
4、eplacement Kit 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. Individual item dimensions will be in accordance with drawings and specification requirements specified in the applicable CID document (see Table I) unless item is a manufacturers part number/cage
7、code then, in which manufacturers current specifications apply. 3.2 Color. Individual item colors will be in accordance with applicable specifications (see Table I). 3.3 End item testing. Individual item test standards will be in accordance with their related International Climbing and Mountaineerin
8、g Federation Standards, where applicable. 3.4 Materials. Individual item materials will be in accordance with applicable specifications (see Table I). 3.5 Workmanship. The AMK Rope Replacement Kits shall conform to the quality of product established by this document. The occurrence of defects shall
9、not exceed the contractors own quality assurance standards and the quality assurance standards defined in the technical data in the solicitation and/or contract. 3.6 Service life. The AMK Rope Replacement Kits shall have no unexpected material or component failures during a continuous one-year cycle
10、. The AMK Rope Replacement Kit shall have no unexpected material or component failures during periodic use over a five year period. 3.7 Labels/barcoding/instruction slip. If applicable, all labeling, barcoding and instruction slip requirements shall be as specified in the solicitation or contract (s
11、ee 7.2). 3.7.1 Labels. Each Army Mountaineering Kit (AMK) Rope Replacement Kit shall have identification label Class 5 conforming to Type VI of MIL-DTL-32075. The color of the label shall be white. The following information shall be included in the printing for the identification label: ARMY MOUNTAI

15、ification of the model, if more than one model is available 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.1 Recycled, recovered, or envi
16、ronmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 5. PRODUCT C
17、ONFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commerc
18、ial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5.2 End item examination.
