SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description (CID) covers
2、 the requirements for a kit that replaces the carabiners that are issued in the Army Mountaineering Kits (AMKs); the High Angle Mountaineering Kit (HAMK) (A-A-59869) and the Assault Climber Team Kit (ACTK) (A-A-59873). 2. CLASSIFICATION. The AMK Carabiner Replacement Kits will be furnished as two ki
3、ts. 2.1 Types. Type I Carabiner, Type H (1) Replacement Kit Type II Carabiner, Type X Replacement Kit 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. Individual item test standards will be in accordance with their related International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation Standards, where applicable 3.4 Materials. Individual item materials will be in accordance with applicable
8、specifications (see Table I). 3.5 Workmanship. The Carabiner Replacement Kits shall conform to the quality of product established by this document. The occurrence of defects shall not exceed the contractors own quality assurance standards and the quality assurance standards defined in the technical
9、data in the solicitation and/or contract. 3.6 Service life. The Carabiner Replacement Kits shall have no unexpected material or component failures during a continuous one-year cycle. 10、e year period. 3.7 Labels/barcoding/instruction slip. If applicable, all labeling, barcoding and instruction slip requirements shall be as specified in the solicitation or contract (see 7.2). 3.7.1 Labels. Each Army Mountaineering Kit, Carabiner Replacement Kit shall have identification label Class
11、5 conforming to Type VI of MIL-DTL-32075. The color of the label shall be white. The following information shall be included in the printing for the identification label: ARMY MOUNTAINEERING KIT CARABINER REPLACEMENT KIT NSN: XXXX-XX-XXX-XXXX (Example) The following instruction information shall be
12、supplied: a. The name or trademark of the manufacturer, importer or supplier b. The meaning of any marking on the product c. The use of the product d. How to choose other components for use in the system e. How to maintain and service the product f. The lifespan of the product or how to access it g.
13、 The effects of chemical reagents and temperature on the product h. The effects of storing and aging i. Identification of the model, if more than one model is available 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in a
14、ccordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. The products provided shall meet
16、the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such confo
17、rmance. 5.2 End item examination. Each kit shall be examined for the following defects as listed in Table II: TABLE II.
