1、 AMSC N/A FSC 8465 A-A-59911 28 August 2012 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION ANCHOR, ROCK, CHOCK, TYPE I REPLACEMENT KITS The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description for all Federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description (CID) covers the re

2、quirements for kits that replace the Anchor, Rock, Chock (A-A-59834) issued in the Assault Climber Team Kit (ACTK) (A-A-59873) completely or in part. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The Anchor, Rock, Chock, Replacement Kits for Type I Wedge, wired will be furnished as four kits. 2.1 Classes Class I - Complete Se

3、t Replacement Kit Class II - Anchor, Rock Chock Type I, Small Replacement Kit Class III - Anchor, Rock Chock Type I, Medium Replacement Kit Class IV -Anchor, Rock Chock Type I, Large Replacement Kit 2.2 Sizing. The chocks will be as light-weight as possible, while meeting the standards described in

4、the description. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. Individual item dimensions for Type I shall be in accordance with drawings and specification requirements specified in the applicable CID document (see A-A-59834) unless item is a manufacturers part number/cage code then, in which case manufacturers curr

8、ent specifications apply. 3.2 Color. Individual item colors for Anchor, Rock, Chock Type I Replacement Kits shall be in accordance with applicable specifications. (See A-A-59834). 3.3 End item testing. Individual item test standards for Anchor, Rock, Chock Type I Replacement Kits shall be in accorda

9、nce with their related International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation Standards, where applicable. (See A-A-59834). 3.4 Materials. Individual item materials shall be in accordance with the applicable specifications (see A-A-59834). 3.5 Workmanship. The Anchor, Rock, Chock, Type I Replacement K

10、its shall conform to the quality of product established by this document and the related document for each item (A-A-59834). The occurrence of defects shall not exceed the contractors own quality assurance standards and the quality assurance standards defined in the technical data in the solicitatio

11、n and/or contract. 3.6 Service life. The Anchor, Rock, Chock, Type I Replacement Kits shall have no unexpected material or component failures during a continuous one-year cycle. The Anchor, Rock, Chock, Replacement Kits shall have no unexpected material or component failures during periodic use over

12、 a five year period. 3.7 Labels/barcoding/instruction slip. If applicable, all labeling, barcoding and instruction slip requirements shall be as specified in the solicitation or contract (see 7.2). 3.7.1 Labels. Each Anchor, Rock, Chock Type I Replacement Kit shall have identification label Class 5

13、conforming to Type VI of MIL-DTL-32075. The color of the label shall be white. 14、TYPE I REPLACEMENT KIT NSN: XXXX-XX-XXX-XXXX (Example) The following instruction information shall be supplied: a. The name or trademark of the manufacturer, importer or supplier b. The meaning of any marking on the product c. The use of the product d. How to choose other components for use in the s

15、ystem e. How to maintain and service the product f. The lifespan of the product or how to access it g. The effects of chemical reagents and temperature on the product h. The effects of storing and aging i. Identification of the model, if more than one model is available 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. T

16、he offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable mate

17、rials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the sali

18、ent characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance.

19、5.2 End item examination. Each kit shall be examined for the following defects as listed in Table II: TABLE II.
