SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This drawing outlines requirements for a compact, high contact density (.05

4、0 inch (1.27 mm), and high performance two-piece electrical connectors. This connector is intended for printed circuit board applications (plug in dual heat sinked daughter board modules, and fixed backplanes) utilizing surface mount daughter board and compliant pin backpanel termination techniques.

5、 This connector may be used in severe operating environments, and may include features such as protective hoods, contact sealing, interfacial seals, electrostatic shielding, and others. This connector described in this drawing is a member of a family of connectors featuring modular design, with modu

6、le blocks grouped in combinations of signal, power, shielded contacts, and optic termini. Various combinations of modules comprise individually family members. This drawing describes a specific member composed to ten low power blade type contact module blocks, providing 452 signal contacts. The cont

7、act module blocks are enclosed (epoxy bonded) within a ground-plane forming aluminum frame resulting in a single piece, metal shrouded construction. The connector features straddle type, surface mount terminations for connection to printed circuit daughter boards, and will accommodate .053 to .231 i

8、nch (1.35 to 5.87 mm) spacing between daughter board planes. This connector features low power signal contacts only. Other family members, having power contacts, shielded contacts, and optical termini, are found on DSCC drawings 93002 to 93013, 02007 and 03023. 1.2 Part or Identifying Number (PIN).

Insulators shall

10、be fabricated using one of the following plastic materials: A - Thermoplastic, type GST-40F in accordance with MIL-M-24519 or ASTM-D-4067. B - Thermoplastic, type GLCP-30 F in accordance with MIL-M-24519 or ASTM-D-5138. C - Glass filled diallyl phthalate type SDG-F or GDI-30F in accordance with ASTM

11、-D5948. 1.2.2 Termination style. Connectors shall be terminated using the following termination techniques: A - Surface mount solder termination. X - Reserved for future use. The first three digits will identify the number of signal contacts, with the following two digits identifying the number of spec

13、ial contacts (shielded, fiber optic, power). The PIN will include a single character (A thru H) ta

The connectors descried in this drawing shall meet the requirements of DSCC drawing 89065 for blade and fork type connectors except as specified herein. Any requirements included in this drawing shall be in addition

31、to, or supersede those requirements included in DSCC drawing 89065. In case of conflict between the requirements detailed in this drawing and in DSCC drawing 89065, the requirements of this drawing shall take precedence. 3.2 Design configuration. The design, construction, and physical dimensions sha

32、ll be as specified on figures 1, 2, 3, and 4. 3.2.1 Design documentation. Design documentation shall be retained by the manufacturer. This documentation shall be available for review by the contracting activity, DSCC, or contractor upon request. 3.3 Electrical and environmental performance character

33、istics. All electrical and environmental specifications shall be in met. 3.4 Module displacement force. The connector shall allow for cold-wall clamping of attached daughter card modules. With 75 pounds force (34 kg applied to the connector, the connector frame shall not be displaced more than .003

34、inches (0.08 mm) laterally for single-sided mounting ears (non-float mount) and .006 inches (0.15 mm) for double sided mounting ears (float mount). 3.5 Marking. The connector shall be marked with the DSCC drawing PIN, the manufacturers name or CAGE code, and the production date code. PIN marking pos

35、ition and contact identification details shall be as indicated on figure 2. 3.6 Material requirements. The materials to be used in construction and fabrication shall be as specified and shall insure that all requirements of this specification are met. 3.6.1 Connector materials. 3.6.1.1 Connector she

36、ll material. The connector shell (frame) shall be fabricated from aluminum 6061-T6 in accordance with SAE-AMS-QQ-A-200/8 or ASTM B241. 3.6.1.1.1 Connector shell finish. The connector shell shall be nickel-plated overall in accordance with SAE-AMS-2404, 9 to 12 percent phosphorus 300 to 1000 microinc

37、hes (7.62 to 24.5 m) thick. 3.6.1.2 Connector insulator. The connector insulator/terminal alignment guide blocks shall be fabricated from polypheneline sulfide, 40 percent glass reinforced, type GST-40F in accordance with MIL-M-24519, ASTM D4067 or liquid crystal polymer (LCP), glass reinforced, in

38、accordance with MIL-M-24519, type GLCP-30F, or ASTM D5138 type LCP0120G30A43430 EA300ED035EE200EF140. 3.6.1.3 Blade contact material. Blade contacts shall be brass, half-hard minimum, in accordance with ASTM B36 alloy C26000. 3.6.1.3.1 Blade contact finish. All areas of the blade contact shall be a

39、gold plated, in accordance with ASTM B488, type II, grade C, class 1.27 (50 microinches) minimum, over 50 to 150 microinches (1.27 to 2.54 m) of nickel in accordance with SAE-AMS-QQ-N-290, class 1. 3.6.1.4 Termination tail material. Termination tails shall be brass, half hard minimum in accordance w

40、ith ASTM B36 alloy C26000. 3.6.1.4.1 Termination tail finish. The termination tails shall be underplated 50 microinches (1.27 m) minimum with nickel in accordance with SAE-AMS-QQ-N-290, class 1, with selective reflow tin/lead over plating. Mating and unmating force requirements for connectors and shells have not been determined to date for this drawing. 3.7 Recycle

42、d, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cyc

43、le costs. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. Qualification inspection (see 4.2). b. Conformance inspection (see 4.3). 4.1.1 Equipment calibration. All test equipment and inspection facilities used in the perfo

44、rmance of any test shall be maintained in a calibration system in accordance with NCSL-Z540.1. 4.2 Qualification inspection. Qualification inspection for connectors specified herein shall not be required. 4.3 Conformance inspection. Shall be in accordance with DSCC drawing 89065. 4.4 Certification a

45、s an approved source of supply. In order to be listed as an approved source of supply for connectors, a manufacturer shall: a. Agree to make available to DSCC, upon request, all pertinent test data on the subject part indicating compliance to the tests outlined in DSCC drawing 89065. b. Provide to D

46、SCC-VAI, or its designated agent, upon request, free of change and without obligation, current production samples in the quantities and of the types requested.
