、NO. 037Z3 93006 DEFENSE SUPPLY CENTER, COLUMBUS COLUMBUS, OH 43216-5000 A REV A PAGE 2 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This drawing outlines the requirements for a specific member of a family of compact high contact density (.050 inch (1.27 mm), high performance two piece electrical connectors. These connectors
、 are intended for printed circuit board (plug in dual heat sinked daughter board modules, and fixed backplanes) applications utilizing surface mount daughter board and compliant pin backpanel termination techniques. The connector family includes members, which provide combinations of low power signa
、l contacts, power contacts, shielded contacts and optical termini. The connector family offers severe operating environment performance capability, such as protective hoods, contact sealing, interfacial seals, electrostatic shielding and other advanced capabilities. This connector family is organize
、d and fabricated utilizing modular design, with available connector module blocks which can be grouped to provide for combinations of low power signal contacts, fiber optic termini, power contacts, and shielded contacts. Specific implementation groupings of these module blocks constitute elements of
、 the connector family. This specific requirements drawing details a member of the connector family which is composed of a grouping of: a. 6 standard low power insulator blocks. b. 1 alpha end. c. 1 beta end. d. 1 center insulator for use with standard low power blade contacts. e. 1 power block. Whic
、h when combined provide a total of 296 signal contacts and 2 power pins. The contact module blocks are enclosed (epoxy bonded) within a ground-plane forming aluminum frame, resulting in a single piece metal shrouded connector construction. The connector aluminum shroud (frame) provides for: a. 3 pre
、ss fit, 8 position keying pins. b. 1 center located guide pin. c. 3 single sided (non-float mount) connector mounting ears. d. 6 electrostatic cover attachment mounting holes. Which when combined provides for a total of 296 signal contacts and 2 power contacts. This assembly mates with DSCC drawing
、93007 backpanel connector. The connector features straddle type, surface mount termination for printed circuit daughter card module installation, which will accommodate from .118 to .190 inch (3.00 to 4.83 mm) spacing between the daughter board contact termination planes. This family member does not
、 include module blocks, which contain fiber optics, or shielded contact elements. Other members of this connector family, which include these additional capabilities, are included in separate DSCC drawings 93002 through 93013 and 02007. 1.2 Part or Identifying Number (PIN).
