All tools and fixtures that are used to handle the bearings and all bearing components shall not introduce any con- t ami na t ion . 3.3.4 Special working conditions. The facilities used in the manufac- ture, testing, and inspection of the
16、 spin bearing shall be in accordance with AD-874. 3.4 First article. When specified in the contract or purchase order, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.1.2.1 and 6.2.3). 3.5 Workmanship. Workmanship, finishing, cleaning, and lubrication of spin bearing pairs shall be pe
17、rformed in a manner that will assure compliance with ail requirements of this specification and all applicable referenced documents. The contractor shall comply with AD-874 and MIL-B-81793, to assure production of high quality bearings. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspecti
18、on. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2.1), the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities
19、suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the . Government. inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. The Government reserv

All items shall meet all require- ments of Sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in t
21、his specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the speci- fication shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for ac

23、 and testing of the bearings shall be in accordance with the following classifications: a. First article inspection (see 4.1.2.1). b. Quality conformance inspections (see 4.2) (1) Inspection lot acceptance criteria (see 4.2.1). (2) Product verification tests (see 4.2.2). (3) Component tests (see 4.2
24、.2.1). 4.1.1.2 Test equipment. Test equipment shall be of sufficient accuracy, quality, and quantity to ensure that the performance for the required tests and measurements are to the aecuracy specified herein. All equipment shall be calibrated and maintained in accordance with a system meeting the r
25、equirements of MIL-STD-45662. 4.1.2 First article inspections. 4.1.2.1 First article inspection sequence. The first article sample (see 3.4) shall be subjected to the following inspection sequence: a. All 12 spin bearings shall be subjected to all of the accep- tance tests listed in Table II, Group
26、I. b. Six spin bearings shall be selected after completion of the Table II, Group I tests and subjected to all the product veri- fication tests listed in Table II, Group II. tests shall be further subjected to the environmental tests listed in Table II, Group III. A total of six spin bearings from the remaining first article pairs shall be subjected to the MTBF demonstration test

44、e two samples to the test or tests in which the failures occurred. 4.2.2.1 Component tests. 4.2.2.1.1 Prior to assembly. Component-parts selected in accordance with 4.2.4.3 shall be subjected to the applicable tests listed in Table II, Group IV. dance with 4.2.4.3. Acceptance or rejection of the com

A lot shall consist of all spin bearings made of the same materials group and in the same production run

A lot of components shall consist of all like com- ponents from the same machine run or production process being submitted for insp.ection at the same time. 4.2.4 Sampling procedures. 4.2.4.1 Sampling for acceptance tests. Sampling for acceptance te
49、sts of Table II, Group I, subgroup 1 shall be on a 100-percent basis. for acceptance test of Table II, Group I, Subgroup 2 shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105, Special Inspection Level S-3, Single Sampling Plan, Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) Level 4.0 (see 4.2.1 for defective rate).
