7、gure 1. Construction: Corrugated bellows, single, unreinforced expansion joints shall be formed by one of the methods described in the EJMA Standards. Sizes up to and including 10 inches shall be formed from seamless tubing or from a tube having only a longitudinal welded seam. For sizes larger than
8、 10 inches, more than one longitudinal welded seam is permissible. In no case will circumferential seams be accepted on formed corrugated bellows unless the requirements of a particular application require construction and the design is approved by the procuring organization. Corrugations shall be s
9、ymmetrical and of similar dimensions. The classification of the expansion joints covered under this specification sheet are as follows: Type I - shall have corrugated bellows. Class 1 - shall have a single bellows. Materials and finishes. Materials and finishes for the bellows and flanges shall be i
10、n accordance with MIL-DTL-17813. The Part or Identifying Number (PIN) consists of the letters M, the basic specification number, specification sheet number, size, type, class, pressure rating, and end connection.
