4、 See figure 1. Mating characteristics: Series N pin contact in accordance with MIL-STD-348, and series QDS socket contact interface shall be in accordance with MIL-DTL-27434 after assembly. Contact gage test (series QDS only): The center contact shall be subjected to the following gage test prior to
5、 assembly into the adapter. The pins that are used in the performance of these tests may be tapered at theirs ends to facilitate insertion, but the tapered portions shall not be included in the specified dimensions. A pin 0.100 inch minimum in diameter shall be inserted to a depth of 0.125 inch mini
6、mum, and then removed. The contact shall be then tested as follows: a. A pin 0.074 inch minimum in diameter shall be inserted to a depth of 0.200 inch minimum shall not deflect the contact members. b. A pin 0.080 inch maximum in diameter inserted to depth of 0.125 inch minimum shall make contact wit
7、h all four contact members within 0.015 inch of their tip ends. c. A pin 0.093 inch minimum in diameter inserted to a depth of 0.062 inch minimum shall not cause the contact members to bow perceptibly.
