3、 of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers one type of flyers relief tube horn. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General. The documents listed in this section are specified in sections 3 and 4 of this specification. This section does not include documents cited in other sections of this s
4、pecification or recommended for additional information or as examples. 9、q.org/.) 2.4 Order of precedence. In the event of conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the test of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. RE
10、QUIREMENTS 3.1 Material. The material shall be Maxxam FR PE 152 polyethylene or equal. 3.2 Color. Unless otherwise specified, the color shall be black (see 6.2). 3.3 Finish. Remove all burrs and sharp edges. 3.4 Dimensions. All dimensions shall be in accordance with Figure 1. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Fir
11、st article inspection . The horns shall be inspected to insure conformance to the dimensions in 4.4 and examinations specified in 4.5. The presence of any non-conforming dimension or any defect shall be cause for rejection of the first article. 4.1.1 First article sample size. The sample size shall
12、be as specified in the solicitation or contract (see 6.2) 4.2 Conformance inspection. The horns shall be inspected to insure conformance to the dimensions in 4.4 and examinations specified in 4.5. Sampling shall be in accordance with ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 general inspection level II. Acceptance shall be at
13、an Acceptance Quality Level (AQL) of 0.10%. Alternate plans must be approved by the Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO). 4.3 Dimensions. All dimensions shall be in accordance with Figure 1. 4.4 Examinations. The horns shall be visually examined to insure the absence of burrs, cracks, warping, and

For acquisition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2). When packaging of materiel is to
15、be performed by DoD or in-house contractor personnel, these personnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertain requisite packaging requirements. Packaging requirements are maintained by the Inventory Control Points packaging activity within the Military Service or Defense Agen
16、cy, or within the military departments system command. Packaging data retrieval is available from the managing Military Departments or Defense Agencys automated packaging files, CD-ROM products, or by contacting the responsible packaging activity. 6. NOTES (This section contains information of a gen
17、eral or explanatory nature that may be helpful, but is not mandatory.) 6.1 Intended use. This specification is intended for use in procuring flyers relief tube horns used for the personal relief of aircraft crewmembers. 6.2 Acquisition requirements. Acquisition documents should specify the following
18、: a. Title, number, and date of this specification. b. Color (see 3.2). c. Tolerances (see 3.5). d. First article sample size (see 4.1.1). e. Packaging (see 5). f.
