9、f the earphone shall have no more than 5 percent total harmonic distortion at any frequency in the range of 300 to 3500 Hz. - 3.6.3.3 Overload. - The eurphone shall show no more than 3 db change from its original re-urve, after being subjected to the test specified in 4.7.2.3.3. 3.6.3.4 Dielectric s
10、trength and insulation resistance. - The insulation between the earphone terminals and exposed metal parts shall withsfand 500 volts DC for 10 - - seconds without breakdown. The insulation resistance shull exceed ten megohms between the indicated points. 3.6.3.5 Impedarl_. - The input impedance of t
11、he earphone at 1000 Hz shall be 15 ohms plus or minus 10 percent. 3.9 Environmental. - The equipment shall meet the following environmental conditions. .- 3.7.1 -. - 3.7.1.1 bow. - During and after testing us specified in 4.8.1.1, the equipment shall meet the requirements of 3.6.1.2, 3.6.1.3, 3.6.1.
12、4, 3.6.2.1 and 3.6.3.1 with no more than a 3 db change in response. 3.7.1.2 High. - During and after testing as specified in 4.8.1.2, the equipment shall meetthe requirernentsof3.6.1.%, 3.6.1.3, 3.6.1.4, 3.6.2.1 and3.6.3.1 with no more than a 3 db change in response. 3.7.2 Humidity. - The equipment
13、shall exhibit no physical darnate such as corrosion, rust, bl isfering, swelling or deterioration of parts and materials, and shall meet the requirements of 3.6.1.2, 3.6.1.3, 3.6.1.4, 3.6.2.1 and 3.6.3.1 during the operating times specified in 4.8.2 with no more than a 3 db change in response. 3.7.3
14、 Al titude (Elevation) e - The equipment shal I meet the requirements of 3.6.2.1 and 3.6.3.1 with no more than a 5 db change in frequency response at altitudes up to 15,000 feet above sea level after storage at 50,000 feet above sea level. 3.7.4 Immersion. - The equipment shall meet the requirements

16、meet the requirements of 3.6.2.1 and 3.6.3.1 with no more than a 3 db change in frequency response following thirty rounds of blast-at a peak pressure of 9.5 pounds per square inch (psi). 3.7.6 Vibration. - The equipment shall meet the requirements of 3.6.2.1 and 3.6.3.1 following the tests of 4.8.6
17、. 3.7.7 Shock, drop, - The equipment shall meet the requirements of 3.6.1.3, 3.6.1.4, 3.6.2.1 and3.6.3.1 following the testsof4.8.7. 3.7,8 Bounce, loose cargo, - The equipment shall meet the requirements of 3.6.1.3 and 3.6.1.4 following the test of 4.8.8. 3.7.9 Salt fog. - After the salt fog test of
18、 4.8.9, the equipment, hen examined visuallyGKSe aid of a 10-power magnifier, shall show no evidence of degrada- tion, such as flaking, pitting, blistering or loosening of finish or metal surface, or exfoliation (see 6.9 of metal. 3.8 Interchangeability. - Like units, assemblies, subassemblies and r
19、eplaceable parts shall conform to Requirement 7 of MIL-STD-454 (See 4.9). 3.9 Workmanship. - The equipment shall be manufactured and assembled in accordance with Requirement 9 of MIL-STD-454 and the appl icable portions of MIL-P-11268 (See 4.6). Electrical operation is.not required. 4. QUALITY ASSUR
20、ANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection. - Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of al I inspection requirements QS specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor ma
21、y use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of !the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary ta
22、 assure that suppl es and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.2 Classification of Inspections. - The inspection requirements specified herein are classitied as tollows: a. First Article inspection (See 4.3). Does not include preparation for dei ivery. b. Inspections covered by subsidiary

(cont) (1) Quality conformance inspection of equipment before prepardtion for delivery (

(2) Quality conformance inspection of preparation for delivery (See 4.10). 4.3 First Article. - Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the First Article inspection shall be performed by the contractor. 4.3.1 First Article units. - The contractor shall furnish seven (
25、7) First Article units of the complete Headset-Microphone H-325( )/TTC and four (4) units each of the microphones and earphones. 4.3.2 First Article inspection. - The First Article inspection shall consist of the inspections specified in subsidiary documents covering the items I isted in 4.4, and th
26、e inspections specified for Group A, Group B and Group C (See Tables 1, II and 111 respectively). The inspection shall be performed in the following order: 4.4, Group A and Group B for all units; and Group C as specified in Table 111. After completion of Group C environmental tests, conforming units
27、 shall be re- inspected and shall pass all Group A inspection. 4.3.3 First Article data. - The First Article test plan and test report shall be furnished as required in the contract or purchase order. 4.3.4 Failures. - One or more failures shall be cause for refusal to grant first article approval.
28、4.4 Inspections covered by subsidiary documents: The following shall be inspec- ted under the applicable subsidiary document as part of the inspection required by this specification, and the inspection requirement specified in the contract or purchase order. 30、- The contractor shall perform the inspection specified in 4.4, 4.5.1 -4.5.4. This does not relieve the contractor of his responsibility for performing any additional inspection which is necessary to control the quality of the product and to assure compliance with all specification requirements. 4.5
31、.1 Group A inspection. - Each unit on contract or purchase order shall be inspected for conformance to the inspections specified in Table I. shall be formed from units that pass this inspection. Factors of lot composition not defined herein or in the contract or purchase order, shall be in accordanc
32、e with MIL-STD-105. Each lot shall be subject to sampling inspection, utilizing the procedures of MIL-STD-105, using the general inspection levels and AQLs indicated in Table I. Discrete lots 4.5.1.1 Order of inspection within Group A. - Group A inspection shall be performed in an order satisfactory
33、 to the Government except that the operationai inspection shall be last. PACKAGING 5.1 Preservation. - Preservation shall be level A, B or Com
36、mercial as specified (See 6.2). 5.1.1 Level A. 5.1.1.1 Cleaning. - Headset-Microphone H-325( )/TIC shall be cleaned in accordance with process C-1 of MIL-P-116. 5.1.1.2 Drying. - Headset-Microphone H-325( )TTC shall be dried in accordance with the applicable procedure of MIL-P-116. 5.1.1.3 Preservat
37、ion application. - Preservatives shall not be used. 5.1.1.4 Unit packing. - Unit packing shall be in accordance with the methods prescribed in MIL-P-116 as specified herein. 5.1.14.1 Headset-Microphone H-325( )/TTC. - Each handset-mecrophone shall be individually unit packed method 111 as follows: W
38、rap each set in paperboard conforming to PPP-P-291, type Ill. Secure the wrap with tape conforming to PPP-T-45, type 111, grade A. Cushion each set by wrapping in cellulosic cush- ioning material conforming to PPP-C-843, type II, sufficiently to prevent damage. Place the headset within a snug-fittin
39、g fiberboard box conforming to PPP-B-636, W5c. Close the box in accordance with the appendix of the box specification. 5.1.2 Level B. 5.1.2.1 Cleaning, drying, preservation application and unit packing. - Each Headset-Microphone H-325( )/TTC shall. be cleaned, dried, preserved and unit packed as spe
40、cified in 5.1.1. 5.1.3 Commercial. - Preservation shall be in accordance with Fed. Std. 41、 Shipping containers for level A and-B shall be capable of stacking and supporting superimposed loads during shipment and storage without damaging the container(s) or its contents. 5.2.1 as specm5.1 1, shall be packed within a elose-fitting fiberboard box conforming to PPP-3-636, type C, class weath
42、er-resistant. Box closure shal I be as specified in the appendix of the box specification. A quantity of the containers shall be packed within a close-fitting box conforming to PPP-B-681, overseas type; PPP-B-621, style 4, class 2; or PPP-8-585, style 9 or 3, class 3. When the gross weight exceeds 2
43、00 pounds, or the container length and width is 48 x 24 inches or more and the weight exceeds 100 pounds, 3 x 4 inch skids, laid flat, shall be applied in accordance with the requirements of the container specification, or if not specified in the specification, in a manner which will adequately supp
44、ort the item and facilitate the use of material handling equipment. 45、5( )/TYC, unit pacled 5.2.1 1 Unitization. - Palletination shall be required when: containers specified in 5.2.1 do not require skids; quantities per destination comprise a pallet load; and container size permits use of one of the pallet patterns of Mlb-STB-147. A quanti- ty of containers, packed as
46、 specified in 5.2.1 , except that container strapping may be omitted, shall be placed on a pallet, load type 1, conforming to MIL-STD-147. The pallet shall be softwood conforming to NN-P-71, type IV, size 2. The load shall be bonded“ to the pallet by strapping conforming to QQ-S-781, type 1, finish
47、A or shrink film. _p_c 5.2.2 Level B. - A quantity of Headset-Microphone H-325( )TTC, unit packed as specified in 5.1.2, shall be packed within a elose-fitting fiberboard box conforming to PPP-B-636, type CF, class weather-resistant. Box closure shall be as specified in the appendix of the box speci
48、fication. A quantity of the containers shall be packed within a close-fitting fiberboard box conforming to PPP-B-640, cluss 2, style E, or PPP-B-636, type CF, class weather-resistant, variety DW. The gross weight of boxes conforming to PPP-B-648, shall not exceed 250 pounds. When the gross weight ex
49、ceeds 200 pounds, or the container length and width is 48 x 24 inches or more and the weight exceeds 180 pounds, containers will be pallet- mounted on pallets Conforming to NN-P-71, type IV. Closure shall be in accord- ance with the appendix of the applicable box specification. Reinforcing shall be by pressure-sensitive filament tape banding or nonmetallic strapping conforming to PPP-T-99 and PPP-S-760, respectively; selection of the material and ap
