1、A-A-5 34 37 29 April 1988 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION BOTTLE AND TUMBLER SET The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description as a replacement for Federal Specification L-B-550B which is canceled. This Commercial Item Description covers a disposable bott
2、le and tumbler set suitable for hospital patient use. Salient characteristics: The bottle and tumbler set shall consist of a bottle with a minimum capacity of 32 ounces and a tumbler with a minimum capacity of 5-1/2 ounces. The set shall be disposable. The color shall be blue. The bottle and tumbler
3、 shall each be of one piece construction conforming to the shape and dimensions of Figure 1. The tumbler shall have a smooth, rounded drinking edge and shall a fit the bottle snugly. Molding compound used for manufacturing the bottle and tumbler set shall be virgin high density polyethylene or polyp
4、r.opylene suitable for conventional molding techniques. However, any excess plastic arising from normal blow moding may be reground and blended with virgin material but shall not.exceed 30 percent of the blend. The bottle and tumbler shall both sit evenly on a flat surface without rock or wobble. Th
5、e bottle and tumbler shall both be free from objectionable odor, cracks, holes, or thin areas. The edges shall be smooth or rounded to preclude injury to patients.
