2、ich is cancelled. This Commercial Item Description covers the requirements for triple flange ear plugs suitable for attenuating high intensity noises. Salient characteristics: Classification. Ear plugs shall be classified according to size and color coded as follows: Size Color Code Regular (Medium)
3、 International Orange Small Green Large Blue Material. Ear plugs shall be fabricated from non-toxic, non-allergenic, sterilizable vulcanized silicone elastomer. The plugs shall be resistant to ear wax, alcohol, skin oils, and common detergents. Each size plug shall be color coded as specified. Each

The ear plugs shall be of the size as specified, and shall comfortably fit small, medium or large ear openings as applicable. When properly placed in the ear openings, the ear plugs shall attenuate high noise levels to a
6、 comfortable level. Style, design, and dimensions shall be in accordance with Figure 1. Performance. Sound attenuation. The ear plugs shall show no visible signs of cracks or other damage, and shall retain their noise attenuation properties when subjected to a temperature range of -10 to 120 degrees centigrade. Resistanc

When immersed for twenty four hours at 70“F, the percentage change in volume of elastomeric material in 93 percent (by weight) ethyl alcohol, oil percent (by weight) sodium hydroxide or light mineral oil shall not exceed 10 percent. Identification markinq. Each ear plug shall be
9、colored and marked with a single letter indicating size as follows: Medium (M) International Orange Small (S) Green Large (L) Blue Workmanship. The ear plugs shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair their serviceability. They shall be free from objectionable odor at t

Inspection, as used herein, is defined as both examination (such as visual or auditory investigation without the use of special laboratory appliances or procedures) and testing (determination

Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, providing they fall within the tolerance
19、 specified using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard No. 376, and all other requirements of this document are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch-pound units, a request should be ma
20、de to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. Reaulatorv requirements.
