SCOPE This standard shall cover definitions of terms that are generally referred to between manufacturers and users and shall

The descriptions listed do not necessarily include every name generally affixed to such items, nor do the items u
11、nder consideration in this standard constitute every phase that may be advisable to be included in the standard. 2. DEFINITIONS Overarm - The device that supports or stabilizes a record or stack of records when placed on the spindle. Tone Arm - The device that contains the phonograph cartridge. Reco
12、rd - The disc which contains the program material. Base Plate - The component on which the various parts of the manual phonograph or changer are mounted. Turntable - The component on which the record is supported while being played. Spindle - That part which centers the records on a turntable (may h
13、ave mechanical means to drop one record at a time.) 45 RPM Spindle - That part which centers large hole records on a turntable (may have mechanical means to drop one record at a time).
