8、rds b) Upon completion of preconditioning and recovery to room ambient conditions, all required measurements shall be performed at room ambient conditions and then the test specimens shall be placed in the test chamber and ramped to the specified test conditions; c) Test temperature: 40 C 2 C; d) Hu
9、midity: 90% to 95%; e) Duration: 96 hours, unless otherwise specified in the referencing document; f) Upon completion of the test duration, the test specimens shall be returned to room ambient conditions; g) Specified measurements shall be performed when specified at room ambient conditions. If the
10、referencing document or measurement procedure specifies measurements to be conducted after a recovery period, but does not specify the duration of the recovery period, the recovery period shall be a minimum of 24 hours at room ambient conditions. Specimens shall not be subjected to any means of arti
11、ficial drying. 5.4 Method III, cycling temperature - humidity with optional cold shock and vibration (Discontinued and Superseded by Method IV) Method III has been discontinued and superseded by Method IV. However in legacy applications that specified Method III, step 7b; step 7b shall be performed
12、following step 7a in Method IV. Step 7b consisted of subjecting the specimens (within 15 minutes after completion of step 7a, when specified in the referencing document, and with humidity not controlled) to vibration for 15 minutes, at room ambient temperature; using a simple harmonic motion of 0.15
13、 millimeter (0.006 inch) maximum total excursion, the frequency being varied uniformly between the approximate limits of 10 and 55 Hz. The entire frequency range, from 10 to 55 Hz and return to 10 Hz, shall be traversed in approximately one minute. EIA-364-31D Page 5 5.5 Method IV, cycling temperatu
14、re humidity with optional cold shock (see figure 1) NOTE For cross reference to previous MIL-STD-1344 designations see Annex A. 5.5.1 Unless otherwise specified, the test specimens shall be exposed to the following conditions in the sequence as indicated: a) Precondition in a dry oven at 50 C 5 C fo
15、r 24 hours; b) Upon completion of preconditioning and recovery to room ambient conditions, all required measurements shall be performed at room ambient conditions and then the test specimens shall be placed in the test chamber and ramped to the specified test conditions; c) Temperature: 25 C 3 C to
16、65 C 3 C; d) See figure 1 for temperature and humidity profile; e) Cycle duration: 24 hours; f) Duration): 10 cycles (test duration B); g) Upon completion of the test duration, the test specimens shall be returned to room ambient conditions; h) Specified measurements shall be performed when specifie
17、d at room ambient conditions. If the referencing document or measurement procedure specifies measurements to be conducted after a recovery period, but does not specify the duration of the recovery period, the recovery period shall be a minimum of 24 hours at room ambient conditions. Specimens shall
18、not be subjected to any means of artificial drying. 5.5.2 Sub cycle During step 7, at least 1 hour but not more than 4 hours after step 7 begins, the specimens shall be either removed from the humidity chamber, or the temperature of the chamber shall be reduced, for performance of step 7a, when spec
19、ified in the referencing document. After step 7a, when specified in the referencing document, the specimens shall be returned to 25 C at 90% to 98% relative humidity and kept there until the next cycle begins. This sub cycle shall be performed during any five of the first nine cycles. Sub cycles are
20、 optional. 5.5.3 Step 7a (cold cycle) When specified, at least 1 hour but not more than 4 hours after the beginning of step 7, the specimens shall be either removed from the humidity chamber, or the temperature of the chamber shall be reduced. Specimens shall be conditioned at -10 C 2 C (14 F 4 F) w
21、ith humidity not controlled for 3 hours as indicated in figure 1. When a separate cold chamber is not used, care should be take to assure that the specimens are held at -10 C 2 C (14 F 4 F) for the full 3 hour period. 22、 2) NOTE For cross reference to previous MIL-STD-1344 designations see Annex A. 5.6.1 Unless otherwise specified, the test specimens shall be exposed to the following conditions in the sequence as indicated: a) Conditioning: The specimens shall be conditioned in a dry oven at a temperature of 50 C 5
23、 C for 24 hours. At the end of this period, measurements shall be made as specified; b) Mounting: Specimens shal1 be mounted by their norm mounting means, in their normal mounting position, but shall be positioned so that they do not contact each other, and so that each specimen receives essentially
24、 the same degree of humidity; c) Initial measurements: Prior to step 1 of the first cycle, the specified initial measurements shal1 be made at room ambient conditions, or as specified; d) Number of cycles: Specimens shall be subjected to 10 continuous cycles, each as shown on figure 2. e) Subcycle:
25、The subcycle shal1 be performed in accordance with 5.5.2; f) Step 7a: This step shall be performed in accordance with 5.5.3. 5.6.2 Test a) Place the test item in the test chamber in accordance with 5.5 (1). Prior to starting the test, the internal chamber temperature shal1 be at standard test with u
26、ncontrolled humidity; b) Gradually raise internal chamber temperature to 71 C (160 F) and the relative humidity to 95 percent plus 5 percent minus 0 percent over a period of 2 hours; c) Maintain condition of 5.5 (7) (b) (see figure 2) for not less than 6 hours; d) Maintain 85 percent, or greater, re
27、lative humidity and reduce internal chamber temperature in 16 hours to 28 C 10 C (82 F 18 F); e) Repeat steps 5.5 (7) (b), 5.5 (7) (c) and 5.5 (7) (d) for 10 cycles (not less than 240 hours). Figure 2 is an outline of the humidity cycle for this procedure. 5.7 Miscellaneous profiles Other profiles m
28、ay be used at the discretion of the qualifying agency. In this instance, the following features shall be specified in the referencing document. Preconditioning if required; Temperature extremes; Humidity extremes; Dwell time at temperature extremes; Ramp times as required; Cycle duration for one cyc
