SECT

13、ION ONE - GENERAL DATA 1.0 General Data 1.1 Scope The standard size, two pole watertight toggle switches of certified quality covered by this detail specification a) mount in a 12.4 mm (.49 inch) diameter mounting hole. b) have a maximum rated voltage of 274 volts. c) have a maximum rated current of

14、 20 amperes. 1.2 Type Designation Switches covered by this detail specification shall be described by the following in the order shown: a) The number for this detail specification. b) The switching circuit per Table 1. c) The toggle lever locking combination, if any, per Table 1. Insert “X” if no lo

This switching circuitry has two toggle lever positions with one position being the normal center position. 1.3 Markinq The marking of the switch and package shall be in accordance with the requirements of subclause 2.5 of the Generic Specification. 19、tches shall be marked with the following information: a) terminal identification per Figure 1. b) type designation per 1.2 c) manufacturers name d) date code per RS-476 1.4 Ordering Information Orders for switches covered by this Specification shall contain the following information as a minimum: a)

20、 the applicable part number per subclause 1.2. b) *per EIA520DAAB dated (insert issue date)“ 1.5 Certified Records of Released Lot - not required. 1.6 Safety Considerations The user shall consider the suitablility of the switch with regard to any safety requirements applicable to the equipment. The con

22、figuration is optional within the specified dimensions. The original dimensions are in inches. 1.8.2 Toqqle lever Dimensions The toggle lever dimensions shall be in accordance with Figure 2. 1.8.3 Terminal Dimensions The terminal dimensions shall be in accordance with Figure 3. Terminals which are n

23、ot functionally required shall be omitted. 1.8.4 Mounting Hardware The dimensions of the mounting hardware shall be in accordance with Figure 4 for the hex nut, Figure 5 for the internal tooth lockwasher, and Figure 6 for the keying washer. 1.8.5 Terminal Hardware The dimensions of the terminal hard

24、ware shall be in accordance with Figure 7 for the screw with the captive internal tooth lockwasher or, at the option of the manufacturer, with Figure 8 for the pan head screw and with Figure 9 for the split ring lockwasher. 43、which are additional to those specified in the generic and/or sectional specification 1.10.1 Explosion Object : The objective of the test is to assess whether a switch, while operating, will ignite an ambient explosive atmosphere prevalent in aircraft applications. This test is not necessary for swi

44、tches which are enclosed in housings (casings) designed to prevent flame or explosion propagation. Test Method: Switches shall be tested in accordance with Method 109 of MIL-STD-202. Switches shall be operated at their maximum rated dc inductive current at the rated voltage. Criteria: The explosive

45、mixture in the test chamber surrounding and external to the switch shall not explode whether or not an explosion occurs within the switch. Switches shall be electrically operable after the test. 46、ction Requirements 2.1 Qualification Approval inspection requirements shall be in accordance with Table III for multiple product approvals. 2.2 Quality Conformance Inspection requirements are prescribed in Table IV for lot-by-lot inspections and Table VI for periodic inspections. For visual examinat
