8、glare surfaces in terms of specular gloss for screened tubes and panels at 60“ & 45“ and unscreened panels & coverplates at 60, 45“ and 20“ glossmeter geometry. 2.0 Definitions 2.1 Specular Gloss: The luminous fractional reflectance of a specimen in the specular direction (TEP-66A). 2.2 Luminous Fra

9、ctional Reflectance: The ratio of the luminous flux reflected from, to that incident on, a specimen for specified solid angles. 3.0 Apparatus Requirements . 3.1 Gloss Measurements (60 ASTM D 523 and 45“ ASTM C 346, and 20“ ASTM D . 523). 3.1.1 The apparatus shall consist of an incadescent light sour

10、ce, single aperture receptor, means of locating the surface of the specimen, and a receptor located to receive the rays reflected by the specimen. The receptor shall be a photo sensitive device responding to visible radiation. The spectral transfer function of the system shall be in close conformanc

11、e with the standard observer “Y“ funcfion under illuminant C as specified by the CIE (1931). The measurement mechanism shall give a numerical indication that is proportional to the light flux passing through the receptor field stop within il% of full scale reading. 3.1.4 Primary standards (ASTM) may be polished plain black glass wit

14、h a gloss value assigned by the manufacture in accordance with ASTM D523 and C346. Other standards shall be calibrated against a primary standard and checked periodically for constancy by comparing with a primary standard. 18、 mild detergent solutions. Rinse with hot running water removing detergent solution. Final rinse in distilled water. towel.
