24、herlands,Norway,Portugal,Spain, Sweden,SwitzerlandandtheUnitedKingdom.EN10290:2002(E) 6 1Scope ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestherequirementsofliquidappliedexternalcoating,polyurethane(PUR)and polyurethanemodified(PURMOD),forthecorrosionprotectionoftubesandpipelinefittings. Thecoatinginthisstandardcan

25、beappliedtolongitudinallyorspirallyweldedandtoseamlesssteeltubesand fittingsusedfortheconstructionofpipelinesforconveyingliquidsorgases. Inaccordancewiththeelongationproperties,ifthecomponenthastobecoldbentthecoatingshallbeappliedafter bendingunlessotherwiseapprovedbythepurchaser. Thecoatingshallcon

26、sistnormallyofonelayerofliquidproduct,appliedbybrushorbyanairlessspraytechnique. Otherapplicationmethodscanberecommendedbytheproductmanufacturer,inaccordancewiththekindof product(spatula,injection,spreading,etc.). Thiscoatingcanbeusedfortheprotectionofburiedorsubmergedsteeltubesforserviceatthefollow

27、ing temperaturesandwithtwothicknessclassesA(1000 m m)andB(1500 m m)basedonthefollowingcombination. Lowerthicknesscanbeagreedbetweenthecoatingmanufacturerandthepurchaser. type1 : 20Cto40C,thicknessclassAorB type2 : 20Cto60C,thicknessclassB type3 : 20Cto80C,thicknessclassB Othertemperaturescanbeagreed

35、etres( W m). 4 Coatingmaterials 4.1General Themulticomponentliquidcoatingisgenerallycomposedofapolyolandanisocyanate. Thepolyolandisocyanateshouldhavedifferentcoloursallowingtheverificationofthecorrectmixingandchecking theuniformityofthecolourofthemixedproduct. Thecoatingisconsideredcuredwhenithasat

36、tainedthehardnessrecommendedbytheproductmanufacturer(see Table1). Thisstandardcallsfortheuseofsubstancesand/orproceduresthatmaybeinjurioustohealthifadequate precautionsarenottaken.Itrefersonlytotechnicalsuitabilityandinnowayabsolvestheuserfromstatutory obligationsrelatingtohealthandsafetyatanyrange.
