Attemperatureslowerthan0CtheimpactstrengthofPVCpipesisreduced.PVCpipescanhoweverbe satisfactorilyhandledandlaid,whenadequatecareistaken. Tomaintaintheirgeometricshape,pipesshallnotbestackedhigherthanthe maximumhei

WhenPVCpipesandfittingsarestoredoutsideindirectsunlight,themanufacturersinstructionsforproviding shadingshallbefollowed. 4.2.1.3 Storageofmaterials Lubricant,solventcementandcleanercontainersshallbestoredawayfromanyheatsource. 4.2.1.4 Polyethylenepipes Coilstackingsha
33、llnotexceedtheheightspecifiedbythemanufacturer. 4.2.2 Electricalequipmentstorage Electricalequipment(cabinets,controllers,etc.)shallbestoredinacoveredand dryplace. 4.3Staking Irrigationsystemstakingandimplementationshallbemadeinaccordancewiththelayoutplanpreparedduringthe designphase. Accuratemeasur
34、ementsshallbetakenwithappropriatetopographicequipmentadaptedtothesizeoftheproject. Stakesshallbelargeenoughtopermitgoodvisibility. Colourcodedstakesshallbededicatedtoeachsystemcomponent. 35、andapprovedbytheprojectmanager.EN124844:2002(E) 7 4.4Trenches 4.4.1 Locateandprotectotherworks Priortoanytrenchingwork,therouteofthetrenchesshallbemarkedoutinaccordancebetweenthecontractor, theownerandtheprojectmanager. Thelocationofexistingservicesshallbedeterminedbythemainconcessionaires,available
36、documents,carrying outsurveys,andusingdetectionequipment. Thechoiceandthesizeoftheexcavatingmachinesshallbechosensoastobestpreservevegetationandexisting structures. 4.4.2 Trenchspecification 4.4.2.1Timing Trenchingshallbephasedwithotherundergroundinstallationstoavoidthemremainingopenfortoolongand po
37、ssiblycollapsing.Ideally,trenchesshallbeopenedandbackfilledonthesameday. 4.4.2.2Sizing a) Width: Trenchesshallhaveawidthadaptedforlayingorthepipeswithoutexcessiveexcavation. Thiswidthshallnotexceed2timestheoutsidediameterofthepipe; b) Depth: Trenchesshallbedeepenoughtoavoidanydamageduetosoilpreparat
38、ionandmaintenancework. Trenchdepthshallallowminimumcoverabovethe pipeof0,60mformainpipesand0,50m.forlateralpipes unlessgroundconditionsdictateotherwise. Thisdepthshallalsobeadaptedtoclimaticconditionsandspecificrequirementsasdefinedbytheowner.The trenchbottomshallbeproperlylevelledsothosepipesaresup
39、portedalongtheirentirelength. 4.4.2.3Trench backfilling Theexcavationmaterialthatmaybeusedfortrenchbackfillingshallbekeptonthesidesofthetrench.Ifnot,it shallbepartiallyortotallyremoved. a) Bedding:Pipesandwiresshallbelaidona5cmsandbeddingifthetrenchbottomisnotsmooth,levelledand freeofstones,rocksoro
40、therdebris; b) backfillingaroundthepipes:Pipesshallbecoveredwithexcavationmaterialonconditionthatitdoesnot containstoneslargerthan10mm,intheirdimension.
