14、ashes,casementsorfixedlights whichmaybemountedinternallytothemaincasementsorsashes,shallalsobesimilarlytested. Thetestappliestoallinfillofwhatevermaterialsincludingglass.Itisnotintendedtoevaluatethestrengthofthe glasswhenusedasaninfill.Itisintendedtoassesstheinteractionsbetweenallcomponentsofawindow

18、pparatus Theapparatusshallconsistofarigidsurroundframeintowhichthecompletespecimencanbemountedusingthe fixingsystemanddevicesprovidedbythemanufacturer. TheimpactorasspecifiedinEN12600shallbemountedonahorizontalorverticalaxis,asbestbefitsthe requirementsofaccesstotheimpactpoint.Inadditionwires,pulley
19、s,hooksandsuitableheightadjustingdevices areneeded,asspecifiedinEN12600. 5 Testspecimen Thetestspecimenshallbesuppliedinfullyoperablecondition.Itshallbesuitableforfixingintothesurroundframe inaccordancewiththemanufacturersinstructions. Thetestspecimenshallbeprovidedwiththemostunfavourableglazingbead
20、profilewithinfilltofit. Storageandtestingshallbecarriedoutinanondestructiveenvironmentwithintherangesof10Cto30Cand 25%to75%relativehumidity.EN13049:2003(E) 5 6 Testprocedure Fixthespecimenverticallyintothesurroundframe.Thetestspecimenshallbelevel,squareandwithoutvisible twistresultingfromtheuseoffix
21、ingdevices. Operateanyopenablepartsofthetestspecimenfivetimesimmediatelybeforetesting. Secureallcasementsorsashesinaccordancewiththeirnormaloperatingmodeandbyuseofthehardware provided. Testsshallbeperformedseparately,oneimpactoneachtestspecimen.Select,e.g.bymeansofpretestsor calculations,themostdang
22、erousimpactpointtostrikethefollowing: thecentreoftheinfillor acorneroftheinfillor thecentreofthelongestedgeofthelargestareaoftheinfill. Thedirectionofimpactshallbeasspecifiedbytheapplicantormanufacturer. Withtheimpactorhanginginitsfreestate,adjacenttotheimpactpoint,attachthereleasehooktoit.Raisethe
23、impactor,bymeansoftheheightadjustingdeviceuntilthedropheightiscorrectlyset,asjudgedfromareference pointontheimpactor. Disengagethereleasehookallowingtheimpactortoswingfreelyuntilitstrikesthetestspecimenperpendicularto theinfill. Thedropheightshallbesettoanaccuracyof 10mm. 7 Testreport Prepareatestre
24、portensuringthatitshallpositivelyidentifythetestspecimensandrecordallparametersofthe testprocedure. Recordresultsinsuchawaythatthey,togetherwithresultsofothertestsandinformationdeclaredbythe manufacturercanbeusedinthedeterminationoftheclassificationofthosetestspecimensandtheir performances.
