This standard is applicable to appliances whose welding equipment is completely set up in the factory and which use

27、 0583551 50T Page 4 EN 1326 : 1996 3.6 gas cylinder valve A part, integrai with a container, provided with a threaded outlet and a handwheel which opens and closes the gas. 3.7 pressure regulator A part which allows reduction of the pressure of the gas flowing out of the container; it can be dustabl
28、e or prmusted, integral with another device or Separate. 3.8 safety device A device which, when correctly used and placed, prevents the damage resulting from misuse or malfunction of the blowpipe or associated equipment. It can be: - a non-return valve, which prevents the passage of the gas in the d
29、irection opposite to normal flow; or - a flame arrestor which quenches a flame front (flashback). The two functions can be associated in a single device. 3.9 carrying construction A stnicture which allows containers, welding equipment and accessories to be Camed and that secures the gas containers i
30、n a safe position. 3.10 adjustable blowpipe A blowpipe fitted with a valve on each gas line so as to control and dust the fiame. NOTE. A blowpipe without a valve is said to be non-adJustable. , 4 Design 4.1 General Ail parts of the appliance shall be free of sharp cornem and edges which could give r
31、ise to iqlury during normal assembling, use and maintenance. Parts and devices of the welduig equipment which are integrai to its safe operation shall be fitted securely so as to avoid loosening in normal use. Compliance shall be checked during the testing. Welding equipment including the connecting
32、 device shall be tight when tested according to 7.2 both before and after the endurance test described in 7.3. The connection of different parts of the appliance by the user shall be uncomplicated and safe. Respective position of the parts shall be obvious. Necessary tools and instructions for a saf
33、e assembly shall be supplied with the appliance. 4.2 Materiais Mahiais shall comply with requirements specified in EN 29539. 4.3 Gas containers 4.3.1 Non-rytllable gas containers Pierceable cartridges and cartsidges with valves shall comply with the requirements of EN 417. Cartridges for compressed
34、oxygen should comply with the natiod standards or regulations. Non-reliable cylinders should comply with national standards or reguhons. 4.3.2 Refillable containers Refillable containers should comply with the requirements of national standards or regulations. 4.4 Connecting device The connecting de
35、vice shall be designed to fit the container specified by the manufacturer. It shall not be possible to interchange the fuel gas and oxygen containers. The devices for cartridges for fuel gas shall comply with the relevant requirements of EN 521. 4.6 Shut-off device It shall be possible to shut off t
36、he gas supply quickly at each gas container without disconnecting the gas container. The device can be a separate part (tap) or integral with another part (regulator, for example). If the shut-off device is not an integral part of the container it shall be clearly marked with the gas it controls. if
37、 the device operates by turning, the closing direction shall be clockwise and marked in a durable and visible fashion. If the device has a fixed OF“ position it shall also be marked. It shall not be possible to unintentionally remove the part of the device which opens and closes the gas flow. The bo
38、dy of the device shall show no permanent deformation when tested according to a) of 7.4. When the shut-off device is a cylinder valve (or tap) it shall comply with the requirements of EN 849. 4.6 Pressure regulator 4.6.1 General The circuit of the gas shal be provided with a device reducing the pres
39、sure when the maximum senrice pressure of the container (pressure at 50 OC) exceeds the maximum working pressure of the hose or the blowpipe. The device shall be so designed, that it cannot be set to give a pressure exceeding the ma.xjmum working pressure of the hose or the blowpipe. O BSI 1996 STD-
40、BSI BS EN L32b-ENGL L77b Lb24bb7 0583552 4i-lb W 4.6.2 Gas containers with cylin if fimd it shall comply with requirements for gauges for preset pressure regulatois (see 4.6.2). 4.7 Safety devices The appliance shall be protected agains bacllow and flashback. Flame arrester can be submitted only to
41、a static mixture test (see 6.6.2 of EN 730 : 1995). Saety devices which are not integral with other parts of the appliance shall comply with EN 730. Devices which are integral with part of the appliance shall comply with 6.2.2 and 6.2.3 of EN 730 : 1995, as appropriate. In addition, pressure resista
42、nce and tighness shall be checked during the testing of the part which includes the safety device. Page 6 EN 1326 : 1996 4.8 Hose and hose coupling nipple Hoses shall comply with EN 559 or with EN 1327. Inividual lengths of hose shall not exceed 3 m. Welding equipment shall be supplied with hoses in
43、 a fully assembled condition. The tensile strength of the connections between hoses and hose coupling nipples shail be in accordance with 7.6. After testing according to 7.6, the welding equipment shall remain gas tight during subsequent testing according to 7.2. 4.9 Blowpipe The appliance can be eq
44、uipped with either an austable or non-a - Valve design if ans - resistance to sustained backfire (by overheating and occlusion). Ming for backfire by occlusion is not required for nozzles having a rated flow less than 15 bh of combustible gas measured at the normal workmg conditions specified by the
45、 manufactum If an appliance has a non-dustable blowpipe, it shall be possible to obtain an adequak neutral flame. The assembly and disassembly of blowpipe attachments shal be easily carried out with the small kit tools provided Each valve of an austable blowpipe shall be clearly marked with the gas
46、it controls. 4.10 Carriage and stability The appliance shall be provided with a carrying structure of a design suitable for the storage, transportation and use of the gas containers and equipment. Liquefied gas containers shail be held in such a manner in the carrying structure, that liquid cannot b
47、e drawn off. The canying structure shall not permit the accumulation of the gas from accidental leakage. Constitutive materials (except for those concerning wheels, if necesary) shall be resistant to the flame when tested according to 7.8. When tested according to 7.7, the qpliance shall not tip ove
48、r. 4.11 Eye protecting equipment Eye protecting equipment shall be supplied suitable for the intended applications of the kit. 49、ntrols by either -a letter -0 for oxygen; - D for compressed combustible gases; or - a colour - Blue for oxygen and -Black for - references to the type of containers to be exclusively used; - instructions to connect or change the containers in a flame or ignition-free atmosphere, far removed from other persons; - not to use grease or oil on parts in contact with oxygen; - that goggles are to be worn when the appliance is operating; - how to stop the appliance safely 6.3 Durability All markings shall be durable, compliance shall be checked by rubb
